I'm sorry, but lol wat.

That wasn't aimed at their having a bigger role in DA3, but the fact that they can't be in any direct relationship with Hawke. Frankly, your logic is kind of making me legitimately lol right now. First off, who's to say that DA3's time span won't be much shorter than DA2's? Hawke doesn't have to follow Varric around like a lost puppy. S/he leads his or her own life as the Champion of Kirkwall, I'm sure. Hell, they might even die by the end of the game. Not only that, but "bigger role" doesn't necessarily mean "more screen time." It could very well mean that they might act as a catalyst for a very important plot point within the game or it's a direct following of Varric's interrogation with Cassandra. The fact that he might very well be in DA3 doesn't discount his potential now. Soz.

I enjoy the Tolkien elves immensely, so I can't get angered by this, even though I do dislike the inconsistency this provides.

As a side note, given how Thedas' common thread (as I've understood it) is to establish a world where high fantasy concepts (dwarves, elves, mages, etc) exist, but have realistic consequences, I have always wondered how BioWare would have handled the elves of Tolkien in the setting. What would be the realistic response from humans who have to share a world with these 'firstborn', who are unquestionably superior to them? That, I hope, was actually somewhat the case in Arlathan and the ancient elves of the ages past - I really hope this matter gets further developed in the future. :)

I think that Aveline and Meredith are like Morgana in Mist of Avalon. If you get her pissed they'll get taller and taller and the goddess will make them glorious.

The they'll step in you.

And... who do we think the male and female leads are? I'm curious.

Not Varric as he's a pint-sized male, which is apparently an abhorrence in the eyes of the Maker.

Hahahaha x'D

Dwarves are not from the Maker according to Wynne, lol. The Maker is a huge ass though, so I ain't even mad.

You realize this means Fenris is taller than Aveline? I hope most of my interactions with Meredith happen while she's standing on steps or platforms.

It's horrible but I lol'd.

All Men should also always grow Old Testament beards and skin their own prey, but no one ever seems to listen to me.

Considering Isabela (evidently) has something to do with the plot at some point, even if you don't recruit her, she appears to be the female lead. That, paired with her being the main romance shown in the videos, which is usually the case. And Varric's role seems vital enough to warrant the "male lead" title, imo.

Actually, apparently they all have plot importance. I suppose similar to the way Alistair was important. Isabela is being marketed as a LI more than a character. I would say this makes it likely she's the female lead, but I wouldn't bet any money.

I kind of like the idea of there being no particular leads, outside perhaps your sister/brother.

As a six foot tall female, I call bull**** on this. In my experience, men either intensely enjoy having a taller female or are simply intimidated by it. Cue noncommittal shrug.

I still don't understand what prompted this debate in the first place. Where is it said/shown/written in blood and bound in flesh that elven men are now taller than human women?

I wonder if Aveline and Meredith have evil glares. Maybe they could have a glare contest.

The idea that i had in that post was that for example, you can't meet Alistair if he is married to your Warden because his wife would travel with him, no? But you can meet him if he is a wandering drunk. As for the importing issues i mentioned, Morrigan in the Witch hunt had trouble seeing the status of your relationship, and for a new game decisions that have to imported ar far greater. I shrudder to think how the C++ program even looks...i think it's gigantic...and complicated...

But yeah i am glad i made you laugh. Laughting is healthy.

1. How tall is Fenris Compared to Fem!Hawke?

I don't know. I've never compared the two. I think elves are now the same height as humans, so he'd be a bit taller than FemHawke, but I could be wrong.

2. Will Fenris ever wear shoes?

No. The artists have this thing about elves and shoes. Don't get me started.

Elven men being taller than human women is a minor disappointment. I liked the elves being shorties.

A Wynne cameo would be superb if only so that she could comment on Hawke's relationships.  Only if we get to turn her over to the arishok afterward.

But yeah i am glad i made you laugh. Laughting is healthy. Still some people overreact over a fictional character's height.

Has it been confirmed that you can't meet him when he's King? Because I don't remember reading that anywhere. Also, wow, you're assuming the Warden is really dependent on Alistair, which makes me sort of shrink back as to how she ever managed to deal with the Blight in the first place. She's the bloody Warden; she doesn't have to travel with him on every scrap of business he has to attend to. Kings and Queens aren't always forced to be in the same place at the same time. In fact, they were often stationed in different castles during some years of their marriage. I still don't understand your logic when it comes to that. The coding, yeah, understandable, but that hardly stopped BioWare from doing any number of things before.

Considering I was one of the ones who "overreacted," I'd like to point out that it wasn't really an amused laugh. It was a "Ha ha! Wait, is she serious? She is! HA HA!" sort of laugh.

I fail in see how culture make one taller. Reality also no, because there are short men really real. If we're thinking about the same manhood, short people can have penis, too. And blood. I'm sure they bleed.
