In DA3, the dwarves will be the same height as the PC should the PC be a human. I'm almost sure of it. This will also allow Varric to be a love interest, considering everyone's so appalled at the idea of romancing someone shorter than them omg.

In the pic of the new undies for all the races the male elf is the same height as the female human but she is standing on her toes . ( the female elf is also standing on her toes )

Well yes, but that would also mean he would get his own body type. I think Dragon Age had every gender the exact same height and body structure according to their race. I don't think it will be any different for DA2. Although I wouldn't mind seeing people of different heights from the same race.

 I personally would like to see the female qunari taller than male hawke.

If this is true, then I can sort of imagine why it was done. However it does feel like a kick in the gut since that was one of my favorite things about the elves from the former game. Though given how many other changes have been made to some of the races in this game, I guess it shouldn't come as that big of a surprise should it prove true.

In Warcraft there is the same situation with elven females. They are 8 fit tall and human males are normally two heads shorter BUT in all fan art elven females are drawn shorter than human males and in official forums there is aways some one who complain about monstrous elven chics.



I for one do not care about male/female high ration I just like tall elves. The taller the better even If I cant play one or do not intend to romance elf with a human PC(blasphemy!) I just can look and them and be pleased.

No, all of them were variations of the human male rigging, which is why they looked so odd. DA 2 separates by race and gender.

Yeah but the reaction seems so out of proportion to the situation. 

Gaider: "Hey guess what? I think Fenris is taller, and or just as tall as Fem Hawke"

Forum Goers: "OMG NO! I swear to god Bioware, if you don't make elves shorter right now I'll kill my self! I'll do it too! I have my knife right here! Right at my wrist! My blood will be on your hands!"

This is what happens when you get soft with your elf persecution. They start getting taller than us. Everytime someone treated an elf like a person in DAO, instead of treating them like less than an animal like you should, they grew ever so slightly taller for DA2.

Dunno why they didn't make them the same height as Human females.

I'd do something like (in height order)
Qunari Male > Qunari Female = Human Male > Human Female = Elven Male > Elven Female > Dwarven male > Dwarven Female.

But it's not my lore, so eh. Gotta deal with it. Women (on average) don't like romancing shorter men than them, so I can understand the change if they did it. I've had a woman shorter than me call me short, and as far as I know, I'm average height. Anecdotal, but hey.

Interesting. Not sure what to think, I did like the elves being small.



Something I noticed though while doing a male elf playthrough the other day, my elf miraculously got taller whenever he got kissed by a girl...
