I don't really understand the forums, I
have found two separate sites, both of which are BioWare sites.
To add to the mix, sometimes when I try
to click on an existing link to a forum topic it tells me I can not
view it because I have not activated my account.
Can someone explain the logic behind
this?

is the other forum

Actually, within about 12 hours of being closed, the problems of this new forum were so severe that the old ones were reopened, and a new one was added, but a second closing is due next Tuesday, the 17th.

Technically, although these are NAMED as being Bioware, they actually belong to EA, and as time passes, more of the old forums for Bioware games will be closed also.  Those with active membershios will have new social forums here.

I hope your question was answered above. Moving over to the site help forum, all the same, although it needs no more explanation.

You know you confused heck out of me by not leaving behind any "moved" place holder.  I'd answered this, and headed out to run some errands.  I never log out, and only shut down when there's a really bad electrical storm overhead.

When I came back, about an hour ago, I saw that I had left this thread as my last active web site page.  But when I tried to refresh / reload, I got an error message.  I couldn't get back to the forum from where that page got stranded, and had to use my bookmark.  I suspected something like this.  I also saw the first serious evidence of moderator activity since the social forums opened.

What is the reason it happened now?  Is the Search reconnected?  Is that related?  I suppose I could test it . .

(P. S. added in edit): I just searched for my thread with video card rankings and actually found it, so if there is a connection between finally stepping in and making visible moderation entries, and Search capability, the Search function worked for me.

The 'currently disable features' sticky has disappeared. The search seems to be doing pretty well. I tested it on the e-commerce thread.

It only searches titles for now (and it has nothing to do with moderator activity, and Kevin has moved several threads to this forum already), but it's much better than nothing.

I agree, Gorath, that it'd be nice to have a move marker, search fully implemented, and a bunch of other features (some that only moderators would use but would be nice all the same). Hopefully, those things will come along over time.

Fortunately, there is the "Jump To:" menu at the top of every forum page which shows "Your Posts". It's a quick way to find any thread you posted in.
