I would consider it to be, but you can't actually state that as fact. It's opinion.

No offense but neither could the USA at that time. Iraq was nothing short of a disaster which of course had nothing to do with military capacity in this case and everything about who was pulling the strings, but it shows the flaws and vulnerabilities perfectly. 

In terms of sustaining a military force, the US did just that.

'Winning' is a different argument altogether, but the US's problem wasn't (and hasn't) been that it couldn't stay in. We aren't talkinabout winning the war once there, but the ability to actually be there in the first place.

Based on present day, the common sense thing for any invaders would be to take out the US, Russia and China first. So for the Reapers to seemingly assault Europe first, things must dramatically change from now until Mass Effect. The fact that in Kasumi's DLC it is revealed Donovan Hock has the Statue of Liberty's head, it makes me think the US must have been subject to some sort of attack or war that resulted in the beloved statue losing its head.

I think its quite oblivious that vicious Canadian terrorists decapited  the statue  of liberty:happy:

It was stated that the statue lost its head during the 2nd American Civil War.
