Incase anyone was wondering, I can tell you what the "Recon Operations Pack" actually contains, as evident from the Playstation Store. As I initially suspected, the pack includes the Dr. Pepper promotional Mass Effect 2 items which are the Recon Hood, Umbra Visor and Sentry Interface, but that's not all, the pack also includes the Collector Weapon and Armor which only originally came with copies of the Collector's Edition (Xbox 360 and PC only). That last part has got me really excited as I've been wanting the Collector Weapon and Armor for ages, watching how ebay listings have them going for ridiculous prices, I can only hope that, me being an Xbox 360 player of ME2, the Recon Operations Pack gets a release on the Xbox 360 in the near future, oh and the Terminus Weapon and Armor getting an Xbox 360 release also has me salivating. :P

This is Hogwash right? Because it is meant to be Hogwash. The Collector Armor and Rifle have always been entitled only to the owners of the Collector's Edition and BioWare officials have on multiple times highlighted their intention to strictly keep it that way.

EA might have had something to do with it.

Indeed. However, since there is no Collector's Edition for the PS3 version, the only way for PS3 gamers to get to use those is for BioWare to release it as a DLC for them. So they might be CE only for PC and 360 gamers, but they are able to be downloaded for any PS3 gamers.

Why does it matter to you whether other people get the chance to use the Collector stuff?

I hope they do release it for PC/360. It'll give me a chance to gather the dr pepper items that I can't legitmately get any other way. And EA get another £1.50 or whatever they charge for the cheapo gear DLCs. Everyone wins.

I hope not.  To have it in a Collector's Edition and only be able to get it that way is one thing, but if it is made available to all PS3 players, then that's just wrong unless they decide to go ahead and make it a paid DLC for the rest of us (PC/Xbox)  too.

I admit, I am butthurt/annoyed that I can't hold onto my Collector Armor/Rifle with pride. I though that was meant to be for the Collectors Edition, not some jive-ass easy dlc download for PS3 gamers. Don't get me wrong, PS3 ME2 = Brilliant but dishing out my exclusive DLC is BLASPHEMY!

I know they got it a year late BioWare but... I can has dlc for pc/360 too? D: Well... mainly the Terminus/Blackstorm stuff. I do want that badly.

As long as Bioware releases the Dr. Pepper promotion stuff and the Terminus Assault Armor and Blackstorm for the Xbox soon then I can forgive them for doing this. Otherwise it is another unfair jackass move by making some content be a hell of a lot easier to get on 1 platform than the others.

Is there any chance I can just buy the Dr. P stuff? Because I already have the Collector armor and assault rifle, and I want those headgears.

That is, if it is ever released on the other platforms.

Why wouldn't they release them? It will earn them more money.

Because they were a Promotion/Exclusive.  Believe me,  I'd like to have the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm since I already have everything else to my knowledge.

i'd surly pay 3 or so bucks for the blackstorm. unless bioware doesn't want more of my money.

me1: bought me1 new, and both dlc's.

me2: bought everything new. spent a crapload of money.

Same as me. Bioware games tend to be the only games where I actually go whole hog with all the DLC. I've got every scrap of content for Dragon Age (apart from those feastday dealies) and both Mass Effects. I'd gladly pay to get the stuff in this pack. Especially that Recon Hood *drools*.

Unless they sign a legal contract with you, I wouldn't believe anything a company says.

It's not the first case that they don't live up to their promises, and it won't be the last.

Atleast the PS3 users can enjoy the awesome, totally immersion breaking flesh-suit and the coolest AR before Archangel's Recruitment mission. :wizard:

Info on the wiki: Recon Operations Pack, and N7 Complete Arsenal Bundle

You guys still haven't gotten the DR.Pepper promotions? I'm sure there's still a few cheat sites that have the codes (not sure if they still work or not).

AS for the Terminus gear, yeah they should release that soon I would hope, they did with the inferno armor.

That blackstorm gun was VERY nice...but since the Arc HW came out, I've all but stopped using it.....and the Terminus Armor i used very Rarely

But these promotions and pre-order exclusives are over, they happened a long time ago. The companies wouldn't lose any money if Bioware releases these items now on Xbox Live.

There will probably be a seperate release for terminus and recon items, collector might not be a downloadable on pc and 360 however.

although not having new content might not sell very well for 360 and pc players that already acquired all of that content. Incisor and Inferno were the "hard to get" items. Dr. Pepper was exploitable, and i bet alot of people got the gamestop exclusive not knowing about the best buy/amazon one.

I know this sounds really terrible, and completely 360 fanboyish of me, but I feel like Bioware is forgetting about their 360 fans.

They better release collectors armour and AR as dlc for xbox 360 and pc now, its only fair, besides its been a year, so i am sure giving it to us who got the game late is no problem, the people who got the collectors edition still have their limited edition cover comic book, and the art book and such

Not forgotten but ignored.
