Hi,

I bought ME2 from steam and would like to continue my ME1 character. Unfortunately I'm not able to find the correct folder for the save games for ME1 under steam. Can anybody help me?

You'll find it into your documents folder (on Windows 7 is under \\Users\\YourUserName\\Documents; on XP is under \\Documents and Settings\\YourUserName\\Documents). There is a folder name BioWare; under it, there is a folder named Mass Effect, where you find a folder named Save; your ME1 savegames are all here.

EDIT: Sorry for the double backslashes. This forum duplicates them, never understood why.

Should be under "Documents/Bioware/Mass Effect/Save", regardless whether you're using Steam or a physical copy.



Or, assuming from your nickname that you're German and depending on your version of Windows:



"Eigene Dateien/Bioware/Mass Effect/Save".

srry, but I got another question.
I played through ME1 several times and just played it through one more time in order to vary some choices i made in the earlier play-throughs. However it seems that in ME2 only 4 saves from ME1 can be imported, so I can't import my last play through it seems.
Is there any solution so that I can play with this last ME1 character?

Not sure what you are asking. Do you mean 4 imports with the one character, or 4 different characters? It would not be limited to 4 charaters in total, as I have had no issue importing at least 1 of each class in the past.

Have you gone to the config utility and run the me1 import option again?? I can't remember if it just points to the correct folder or if it actually does something like actual importing data. Also you have to complete ME1 to be able to import it, and get to the very end of the game for it to make an autosave that can be imported.
