omg this game is so- sweet. :P The amusing "Your mom is going to hate dead space 2" are good at rekindling the fires for space-guy-with-a-gun time. I prefer games with larger replay value, but the quality will be fantastic, no doubt.

Indeed, Isaac retuns and is better than ever. And he can talk now. I can't wai for this game. It somehow looks similar to Alien(s) at the point that first game takes place on a infested ship and dead space 2 will be on a massive space colony.

Absolutely the worst advertising campaign on tv of all time.

I'm buying it. Don't care about multiplayer. But the single-player campaign from the original was great. If they can keep up that level of quality, I'm sold. It seemed like a very solid game based on the demo, though there seem to be more cheap scares this time around related to monster spawn points and whatnot.

I cant wait for this, the demo was fantastic, I even go myself some brand new turtle beach headphones ready for it! I am concerned that the multiplayer will take some game time from the singleplayer, I hope not.

Looks like a great game. The demo provided a definite fear factor for me.

Well I'm going to buy it and try it. Mostly buying it for the armor but who cares, I get paid tomorrow so I'm going to pre-order this and buy a preowned DS1

I wanted to like the first game so badly, but the clunky controls drove me nuts.

I'm glad to hear there is a demo of the second game and will go check it out shortly since the idea behind the game has always seemed solid to me.

Dead Space really is a fantastic ip, lots of good backstory and some seriously messed up themes at times. Honestly, one of the few games that can be held in the same ball park as a bioware game (but of course, not really the same league of that ball game) for quality. The controls were deliberately a bit clunky to ramp up the survival horror factor, but DS2 has sped things up but made the enemies more hardcore. A lot of people will die in the first 2 minutes of DS2 as well, trust me - the opening is INTENSE!

Somehow the demo didn't scare me that much... (but GOD, those pack necromorphs frustrated me to no end)

When Isaac hallucinated in the one hallway I jumped.

Well, it's mostly a matter of knowing that things are going to jump out at you much more often now. They seem to have ramped up the scares since the previous game.

I'm just hoping that EA doesn't milk the series too much, the way Activision is putting out a new Call of Duty every year (L.A. Times is now saying Activision has got Modem Waffle 3 lined up for this November). If EA can resist the urge to put out a new Dead Space every single year, then it'll be fine. If not, I'll probably bail on the series by the fourth game.

yeah it indeed looks promising. It seems like it will be heavier on story, which I dont mind at all, and obviously, Isaac will have a voice this time around. controls feel quicker, the zero G stuff seems pretty cool, Anyways, the Dead Space 2 demo was alright... The controls were fine, the shooting felt improved from the first. Looking forward to it.

What I liked about the demo is how they pretty much left everything from the first game alone except the things that needed improvement. I felt right at home with the gameplay from the very beginning. And the Zero-G segments are much better now, since you can maneuver instead of just leaping from A to B.

Isaac will now shoot while floating in Zero G and change his direction in mid-flight using thrusters. That's a great switch to the game. Oh and I heard that Nicole also returns, and as violent as ever.

So she's still all necromorphy? That would put a damper on a romantic evening.

Only 4 days left till the game release :D:D:D

Damn can't wait

Well since Nicole killed herself with lethal injection then yeah. Basically, the thing we saw at the end of Dead Space was just Isaac's hallucination created by the Marker. So I think that Nicole will be just another manifestation that will torment Isaac. In Dead Space you could actually open fire at her. So I guess in DS2 we'll get to destroy her.

:? I noticed concept art with Ishimura docked on the Sprawl. No wonder how the outbreak started all over again as the ship was full of corruption. But hey, atleast EarthGov is introduced and play a larger role in this game. They're not pretty tough, I guess, judging by the fact that one slasher managed to slay the entire crew odf Valor.

It seems to me that in the multiplayer 2 teams just battle each other in a big arena, like a deathmatch, instead of the human team trying to go from point A to B through several maps. I hope it won't be like this. Still looking forward to it.

+ The launch trailer looked epic but wasn't scary at all. Dead Space trailer used "Twinkle twinkle" song which perfectly matched with the atmosphere. Dead Space 2 trailer hit hard with rock music and gave the impression of an action game. But I believe that it will keep the horror atmosphere, c'mon it's just a trailer. The demo was even better than the first game. So DS 2 will be a top hit definitely :D

Then I think you will like this trailer more, although twinkle strar matched more than this one.

it's a 4 vs 4 team battle. One team tries to achieve certain objectives the other team tries to stop them. The quests do tie in with the main campaign. But no. Not a campaign co-op.
