Just picked up Dragon Age 2 myself. As someone whom was NOT a fan of the original Dead Space (thought it was just an average horror game at best), I absolutely love Dead Space 2 so far.

Which I find really strange, considering they didn't change much of anything for the sequel.

Yeah, I can't really give you an exact reason as to why I like part 2 so much more than 1. It seems like there is a ton more action for starters though, of course it's been nearly a year since I played the first one so it could be just the newness of the game. :D

it wouldn't be good to have a co-op with this type of game takes the trill out of it

and who doesn't like getting mind****ed by a dead girlfriend hallucination

I offically need to change my pants. This game is very intense, even on normal.

Yeah I agree, never in a game (except maybe Super Meat Boy) have a died in the first 30 seconds of actually playing the game. Yeah....got lost trying to run away during the beginning section.

Everybody thinks im crazy, but i actually prefer the DS1 gameplay and controls over DS2...
The zero-gravity thing is cool though.
Edit: And i miss the old Pulse Rifle. Image IPB

Hey, I need your guys' opinion. I just got Dead Space 2 today, and I really want to play it. But I'm doing a playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins. This is my 4th playthrough of Dragon Age: Origins, and I am about to start "A Paragon of Her Kind." I'm also going to be playing Dragon Age: Origins-Awakening for the second time, Golems of Amgarrak for the second time, and Witch Hunt for the first time. I'm really just doing this playthrough for Dragon Age 2, so I'll have a save file to transfer to Dragon Age 2. I deleted all of my other playthroughs and characters associated with my other 3 playthroughs. So should I keep playing Dragon Age Origins, or play Dead Space to and come back to Dragon Age Origins after?

Damn, why did they changed the pulse rifle. It was good the way it was. Oh well...

Wow, just wow. The multiplayer is so gawd awful.........and, they want you to pay extra?

I was expecting something L4D esque, but no, it's more equivalent to thier arcade game in respect of quality.

Oh well, I didn't get it for the multiplayer..............................but still, you heap out this and expect people to pay extra? Predators vs Aliens is years ahead this. /EA goes down a notch

EDIT: And I thought the ME2 opener was bad....................The scariest thing thus far is the lip sync

EDIT: The melee is powerful +

Multiplayer is **** moving on...

Finished single player a little over an hour ago. Took me a little over 10 hours, plus 1-2 hours of correcting my fatal mistakes Xo
I love the series, and have even bought Dead Space Extraction (yes its a piece of ****, but a piece of **** that fills in the blanks). Story still plays a major part in this one, and you should understand it if you played the first, and more-so Extraction. If you're confused about something, you're supposed to be, so kudos on Visceral for doing good in that regard. Moving on, its not really all that scary. I got scared twice by enemies, and every other time it was something sudden in the environment like a tv screen coming on with static. Atmosphere was very creepy though, and persisted throughout, even in the space sections.Very diverse areas you travel through, and Dead Space keeps up with the interactive cinematics. Unfortunately, not nearly enough of the leg-grab-and-drags, I think there were only two. Badass moments are riddled throughout, so that helps to take away from the fear too. I still recommend you play with the lights out though. I can go on, but I just started a NewGame+. An 8/10 in my book. Potential GOTY

Spoiler (I will put "xxx" to help keep your eyes away):

wth, really? I wonder why they did that?? that's a lot of the fun... starting a new game with kicka** stuff right away and blowing the creeps away :o

that's really weird they didn't include it on PC... or maybe you just have to do an extra step to get it? I'm on the 360 so I don't know about the PC :(

We got new game +, they just decided not to release the 'elite' suits. Those are the suits that are only unlockable through your second playthrough. They are also not releasing the story DLC that continues on from extraction. :crying:

I find that really strange, especially considering how much money there is to be made from it. what's happening to EA?

maybe it'll change in the future.. or maybe there just won't be any DLC, time will tell I guess

Some claim it´s because of piracy, but I don´t believe purchases wouldn´t give a profit over the DLC development costs. Maybe MS and Sony paid them to have exclusive content.

Finished DS2 yesterday and.. hmm i found it pretty mediocre, I liked Dead Space 1 a great deal but the second one here just seem like a rail shooter of sorts, Sure there was lots of fighting in DS1 but the second one here just take it over the limit, You shoot and shoot then you shoot some more It's just too much of the same.

The story is kind of ok but it's not like theres all that much of it..kinda meh.

All in all I'll call it a mediocre experience. 5/10 (i would rate DS1 8/10).

I just finished it

I liked it, wasn't too scary, more stressful than scary. Except the charging/running chicken monsters. Those were pretty freaky.

**spoilers**

Not that much happened in the story though, so that was kind of disappointing, it was kind of like just destroy the new marker and you're done. Would have been cool to have a few more twists/ mysteries like DS1. ie. I loved the part in DS1 where the military ship responds to your distress call and you're full of relief, and then they say 'we've picked up your escape pod" and you're like OH ****.  Not that they didn't have any in DS2, like seeing the ishimura again gave that feeling of despair that like about this series. I feel bad for Isaac, nothing ever goes right for him.

And EA totally got me, when they pretended to play the credits at the end I was like WTF kind of ending is this? Then Ellie called. :D
