It just didn't feel the same. While on the Ishumura I felt like there was a definable goal, a reason why you were doing what you were. In 2, nothing really seemed well grounded. The whole 'agent that is helping you but later stabs you in the back' was fine, but the mad guy who for some reason or another you
have to help seemed out of place. And while I liked Ellie, their whole becoming 'partners' felt fake. First she doesn't want to give a damn about you, but 30 minutes later she's playing babysitter to some derranged guy because you asked nicely?
I guess I was hoping for better writting, and perhaps a milder intro, perhaps strolling through the Sprawl a few times before the crap hit the fan, but all in all it was pretty fun. I did find the 'Jack-o-Lantern Nicole' funny/annoying, if not amateurish in a horror sense.
I fear having to do Hardcore mode...............3 saves? Really?
EDIT: I'm still p-d about the multiplayer. How can you charge extra for something that hasn't even made a name for itself?
