I don't think that cannon would be effective against today's Reapers... it was built over 3 million years ago, the Reapers are evolved. And it isn't an ultimate weapon against them, its creators were wiped out, even if they could destroy one Reaper.

Dunno about that. I dont see how you can evolve enough to be able to take that kind of force.

The weapon was fired from another solarsystem for god sake.
And the illusive man mentions that the race completed the weapon too late to save them and only had time to fire it once. If you take the tech and incorporate it on dreadnaughts it could be a real deal for the reapers
