Everyone seems to like the waist, the lack of a fringe bother people more then the lack of breasts.Avilia wrote...
I thought that thread was more focused on her waist? Must check it again this morning.

I didn't expect them to completely scalp them of their fringes either. Thats my biggest complaint about their design I mean they could of just given them shorter fringes or something instead of lopping them off entirely.
That threw me off too when I saw the "female" Turian(s).
Regarding another comic, I find it funny how Tali and Garrus are depicted duel-wielding pistols with Garrus completely horizontal in mid-air.
What were the artists thinking with these (what I would call) silly tangents?

But at the same time, it's a bit retarded for an avian to have boobs.

Turain aren't avian or reptilian. They are an alien species, the rules on Earth do not apply for them.KainrycKarr wrote...

I find aliens human enough that we can intuitively empathize with them, read their body language and feel sexual attraction to them ridiculous. The breasts are just the most obvious symptom. Aliens shouldn't be "hot" to the average human. Even where they're humanoid in shape, they should have an alien body language, we shouldn't be able to intuit their emotions from their facial expressions and their movements, and the idea of having sex with them should be at least somewhat creepy.

New to sci-fi , huh? Atrractive aliens seem to be a staple in almost any and all sci-fi series you can name. True it's silly, but dammit we guys love it!Ieldra2 wrote...

And here we agree fundamentally. I wonder what people find so interesting about sexy aliens. If I want sex, even if it's imaginary, a human will do nicely. In fact, better than any alien ever could.ReconTeam wrote...

New to sci-fi? Likely I've read more more sci-fi books than you have lived weeks in your life. You, however, appear to know sci-fi only from TV. That it's a staple of sci-fi in TV doesn't make it one bit better.ShadyKat wrote...

Yet there are species such as elcor, hanar , vorcha, volus , yahg and other male aliens that exist that DON'T cater to what human females find attractive, it's not even a consideration in their design because its completely irrelevant. The male aliens we have seen so far at least have some variety, the female aliens we have seen so far don't and that's the big issue here. It would be nice and refreshing to have a female species that didn't have typical feminine traits that we are used to seeing. A lot of people also don't want to see breasts on a turian because it doesn't make sense for them to have them biologically, there are other inventive ways to show distinction between alien genders without resorting to human breasts all the time.
true, no human female would ever find an elcor, hanar, vorcha, or volus attractive (i think), but the flip side is also true (i hope), i don't think a human guy could ever find a female volus attractive, even if she has 36 DDs and long blonde hair.
i still think the base reasoning behind the movement for "no alien boobs!" is that people are offended that bioware is trying to sexy up the aliens solely for catering to the young male demographic. and sure, bioware is obviously catering, otherwise samara the super cop wouldn't be walking around with super boobs. i'm just saying, if people are really going to cry foul about bioware sexying up their ME games, they need to take a look at the biggest offenders first (i'm thinking of miranda in her ho outfit and jack in pretty much no outfit). even if garrus gets breast implants, no one is gonna look at him when miranda is strutting around.

To some people the fact that aliens are close, yet so different is the turn on. Like I said, why do you think so many sci fi movies, shows, books and games always have hot female aliens in them? Not your cup of tea, but many people would dissagree with you.

It is wrong to infuse human concepts of sexuality where they do not belong, if you want a convincing universe. It's a worldbuilding issue.ZachForrest wrote...

Seeing as how Turian's are described in-game as avian, I think they do.

Is it wrong to 'infuse' human concepts of sexuality in a game made by humans for humans? It's entertainment, not a simulation of the future.
i don't see what infusing has to do with anything

tbh, i don't find the ME universe all that convincing when all the relevant alien species are bipedal humanoids whose mouth parts all miraculously evolved to be physically capable of speaking the human language.
but if convergent evolution played a huge factor in the development of alien species, hence all the similarities, then i honestly would not find it strange at all if alien species developed some sort of mammary glands on their chests, since their chests would be their former undersides (i'm assuming that all bipeds evolved from quadrapeds). and lets face it, you don't want your nipples on your back where a predator can scratch them with his claws. granted, the number doesnt have to be the same, maybe a female alien would have many more than 2, and maybe they'd just be nipples, not giant boobs, depending on how many offpsring they could bear at any given time, but still.
