1. In the motion comic that starts ME2 for the PS3 Sheperd gives descriptions of the three potential LIs.  The description of Kaiden was, "A good kid, loyal, by the book, with
a talent for biotics." The description of Ashley was, "A soldier to
the core, tough, disciplined, ready to take on whatever came her way."
The description of Liara, "A Prothean expert, adept at biotics, perhaps
most importantly daughter of Benezia, Saren's top lieutenant, and like
all asari as beautiful as she is intelligent and born with the unique
ability to meld with other species."

2. The first Mass Effect comic to come out was about Liara grabbing Sheperd's body.

3. The first DLC to have an impact on ME3 starred Liara.

4. Liara is the only cut scene lover who can hook up with both the male and female Sheperd.

5. Liara was the only one of the potentail lovers from the first game
to treat Sheperd like an old friend or lover. The other two either
treat him/her (I prefer to play as a her), like a traitor.
