Unless there are more of you?

I dont mind speculation. I am all for speculation.

Its when that speculation becomes this...
"Anders its totally the Male Mage Companion. And I am going to romance him my first play thru!"
"Seen Merrill for 3 seconds in the new trailer. Ha! Totally called her being a companion LI!"

Thats not speculating thats spreading disinformation like in a communist or totalitarian state. Do you all live in Cuba or Libya or something?

Maybe its just my discomfort with lying but I find that sort of definitive statements that some folk have been guilty of making prettty horrible.

 I mean this in all due jest, but you sir need:
A. a deep breath
B. a nap
C. a pill of chill

The Forums overreact or occasionally get carried away! Someone could believe someone else's mistaken extrapolation! Ze horror!

Wait, are you actually serious?

The term "dinosaur" is used to mock or insult someone because of their age.
So... probably more than "a bit rude," IMO.

Edit: I just saw on your profile you're not from a country where English is the first language, so it might not have the same cross-cultural translations, which makes sense.  But yeah, in North America calling someone a dinosaur is almost always seen as an insult.

Yes, I am serious.

Hmm, I see. I didn't knew that the term could be used that way. I used as in dinosaur, the creatures :< Pirate is bad, too?

I've never heard of pirate being used as any sort of insult that I know of (well, not in the last few centuries, at least!).

Dinosaur is a pretty well-established insult in North America (it's akin to calling someone 'old man' or 'grandpa.' It implies they're old and behind the times)

Like I said in my edit note, if you're not from an English speaking country it makes sense that you wouldn't realize that.

But yeah, dinosaur is one of those things you generally wouldn't call someone unless you wanted to insult them.

Hmm. It can be used as a insult in portuguese, but it's so rare I forgot. *sigh* Sorry, Mr. David, I didn't meant this way. I'll stop it, then :<

Maybe Squirrel David will do, hm ~

Well, I may not be old, but I would love to have a nickname like Dinosaur.  They were awesome creatures!  And although dinosaur can be taken as an insult to somebody about their old age, it can also be seen as a term of ferociousness and awesomeness.  I am from America, and my first thoughts when I think of dinosaurs are awesome beasts of might!  :wizard:

Dinosaur isn't that big of an insult.

If someone called me a dinosaur, it would most likely be calling me old, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I wouldn't mind if Anders did end up as a companion in DA2. He was one of my favorite Awakening companions, along with Nathaniel and Sigrun. Among the already announced party members, we have two warriors and two rogues (minus Sebastian), and just have the mages left. If one of the remaining companions is to be a returning character and the mages have yet to be announced, Anders would fit, being male and a mage. However, Anders or any possible returning character could be simply be in addition to the base 6 companions, like Sebastian. It will be interesting to see who the rest of the companions are. If Anders is among them, I wouldn't mind, but not be terribly upset if not.

I see Bioware has a Master Plan to make people like me even more anxious and excited over the next month. I'm going to have to take tranquilizers or something to take the edge off the anticipation.

Hope the last companion is Anders. If not, c'est la vie!

Wynne's son is an idea, though he could possibly be a warrior or rogue and not a mage at all. Still, it would be nice to get any info on him, since Wynne didn't say much other than the fact that he existed and was taken by the chantry. It would be a nice moment if there was some kind of reunion between Wynne and her son, though they wouldn't recognize each other or know each other's names.

The potential for angs :< It's a shame we can't even talk with Wynne about her son. I'd think that her biggest mistake was letting her son being taken and her quest would be search for him, not her apprentice. I like to think that Bioware will use this idea in the future, even if he doesn't appear as a companion.

I love how Gaider keeps denying Merryl as a companion

juuuuuust like Ray and Chris were saying "that female quarian in the trailers is just a female quarian...not necessarily Tali" when ME2 was coming out.
