Thanks for confirming and sorry for any confusion caused.

Time for a coffee to wake up again before I make any other silly comments I think...

If you consider your comments silly, then I don't know what to say about comments like "OMG NOW I CANNOT HAZ ALL OF THE DLC'S WITHOUT BUYING SOME ****TY GAME, NOW I'M VERY UPSET, AND BECAUSE OF THIS EA SUCKS"

I meant silly as in silly mistakes, rather than silly as in behaving immaturely and/or trolling ;)

Well, this is nice news for those who plan to get DS2. However, since I have no interest in DS2 I'm going to be passing on this offer. I'm not too disappointed though, the armor doesn't look that great.

This is pretty disappointing cross-promotion. First off, the armor is so out of place, perhaps if the Blue Bars were removed it wouldn't be. But I could easily forgive that if it weren't for the fact that Dead Space is, pretty bad. It's a puerile attempt to be a psychological thrill, and comes of as nothing more than a brown and gray alien shoot-em-up with the lights dimmed. Come on EA, promotes Good Games in Good Games.

Thats subjective. All the reviews are giving Dead Space 2, a strong 9 and saying it should be the gold standard for horror games.

I'll acknowledge that it's subjective but that would be like making Saw the gold standard for horror films. There is only roughly twice the amount of creativity in the Dead Space games as there is in the CoD series (which is so uncreative it couldn't figure out that you aren't supposed to walk into the door and hope you go through) and it is in no way scary. It's visceral, sure. Gore, puke and blood are plentiful; but it remains nothing more than a random shoot-em-up. There is nothing psychological about it, every alien spawn point is predictable. You want to make a real physcological horror, accentuate the weakness of the character. As for what most reviews are saying, remember the result of a Gamespot employee honestly reviewing the first Kane & Lynch game.

ill pass too, wont bother buying dead space 2 just for 1 armor, In the meantime some time in the future they might offer it as a DLC content and why,? just because some people want bother spending 60$ for dead space 2 but gladly will pay some extra euros for a DLC armor content correct?

Dead space is a fest of disemboweling, decapitations and limb severing accompanied by blood fountaining and stomping on squishy corpses. Which is generally good.
Also: The Harvester is a Necromorpth and therefore the original Marker has been created from lyrium by dwarfs and centuries ago stolen by the Darkspawn led by Archdemon Dumat and illegally copied by Reapers who actually founded the Church of Unitology in Dead Space.
Now it all makes sense. Or I'm mad:blink:

Again your opinion the original Dead Space got game of year so while you claim its boring and predictable someone is doing the same for the games you praise. EA is promoting their own game that is releasing close to another game of their's. There is nothing worng with that and I am sorry you don't agree. But there is a silver lining just don't buy Dead Space 2.

No. This sort of DLC almost never gets released outside of the promotion.

No, that definately makes sense. ;)

Just pre-ordered (because I liked the origional, not just because of the promo).
Free heavy Rogue armor? Yes please. Well played EA.

Friend of my girlfriend's has offered me his code. I will rejoice, since all I've played of Dead Space is the first few minutes of the Wii game. Downloading the demos in the near future, though, just to see.

What else do you think it is? It's a cookie for people buying their game? It doesn't cost anything extra, it's completely free and shipped with every copy? Now tell me about their evil schemes?

It's obviously part of EA's evil scheme to conquer the world by giving out free stuff /tinfoilhat.
I forgot they were introducing multiplayer in DS2, could be interesting.

My prediction: ebay sellers will have a field day with these codes. And game store employees are going to nick some from the boxes.

I love Dead Space but a set of armor is not enough to preorder (and i believe this benefit doesn't work in Steam) so i think i'll pass.

Do we have concrete evidence this is the case JUST for steam? Looking at the EAStore they don't appear to be listing it on their digital download version either?

Maybe it's exclusive to retail?

Yeah... thanks but no thanks. That helmet looks ridiculous.
