The armor looks pretty cool, but the helmet looks a little funny.....do you have to wear the helmet?

"Requires Internet connection, EA account, ownership of or access to Dead Space 2 and Dragon Age II games for the Xbox 360 or PC"

So, you have to spend $60 on a game you had no interest in, hold on to it until they game you want launches, then add the code to your EA account, then access Dead Space 2, then launch Dragon Age 2 to finally claim this suit? That's a lot of hoops to jump through for an out of place cross promotional DLC game item. It's ridiculous. I'm not going to jump through all those hoops. It's just too much for an in game item. This is all a stunt to sell more copies of Dead Space 2 and delay it's used market until Dragon Age 2 comes out.

Not only that but I was planning on pre-ordering DA2, but I was going to do it like a month from now so naturally I missed the signature edition. Hey, EA, your marketing department sucks donkey ****.

Oh and they don't even say if you get Dead Space 2 on console if you can unlock the armor or the PC version of Dragon Age 2. Just saying if I was going to play Dead Space 2 it would be on a console where as I want Dragon Age 2 on PC.

Its not for people looking to get all pieces of gear but to reward people getting Dead Space 2 or who are getting Dragon AGe 2 but on the fence for Dead Space 2.

And its not that difficult to get it; Open case >> "Oh cool a code" >> Go to this site here >> go to profile >> redeem code. Bam done. You are over complicating things way too much. And the code  works for Xbox to PC or vice versa. If you want to get the PS3 armor you have to get PS3 Dragon AGe 2.

Well folks, instructions on the coupon read as follows:

1. Go to dragonage.bioware.com/redeem.

2. Log in with your existing EA account (or create a new account).

3. Enter the code below to unlock the content*.

4. Start Dragon Age™ II and log in to your EA account. Details on how to access your additional content are located inside your in-game journal.

XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

*One-time use code available with full retail purchase. Expires March 31, 2012.

So anyway, my guess is it'll unlock for all platforms at once just like all other promo items for Dragon Age Origins or Mass Effect 2.

Oh, and it has nice art of the armor. First time I've seen it from the back. Ser Issac also has a glowing spine... but I doubt it'll accurately display your health as in Dead Space!!! Maybe it's just me, but he looks like a cross-over between BioShock's Big Daddy and, well... a gimp! Perfect for Fenris, I suppose.

IGN, Kotaku and various other sites say other wise its Xbox to PC or vice versa and PS3 to PS3. Its the closest thing we have to official. 2 days until the release of Dead Space and we can't get a simple Yes or No if these sites are correct.

Like I said: those are the instructions AS PRINTED ON THE ACTUAL PHYSICAL COUPON I've got from a new copy of Dead Space 2 for 360.

I've drooled over it enough to assure you it mentions ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about ANY KIND of platform compatibility or exclusivity.

So you're definitely free and welcome to interpret the words as you will.

As far as I'm concerned, I definitely get the impression it's all compatible.

Yes but apparently the PS3 version does not have a packin code and works differently

Did you put the code in and it doesn't show it in your registered items?

Store employees who got the game (Dead Space 2) in stock already have opened it up and said as much. Also, the fine print regarding the armor on the DA2 addons site mentions a "code" for the PC and 360 but not the PS3.

As for how it could work without a code - who knows, maybe based on having a gamesave, maybe just automatic by logging into the same EA account from Dead Space 2 and then from DA2, or maybe some other mechanism. As for why it's (allegedly) different than the PC/360, also a mystery.

Dead Space 2 was sold before street date in many shops, my local GameSpot sold it as early as Thursday.

I'm gonna assume that this offer is only contained in boxed copies of Dead Space 2? Still, some official word on whether or not Steam buyers get a code would be much appreciated.

Well as for those who have received the game copy earlier than street date... have you guys input the code to see if it is indeed multi platform.

because seriously the suspense is killing me

Would like to know this a lot. From dragonage.com it seems Xbox360/PC codes are the same, but it would be nice with confirmation from people that have tried it!

I love how here you're all like "I don't care about Dead Space 2" and in the youtube comments for the video it's "I don't care about Dragon Age II." Made me lol.

I don't think they're in the position to tell you. Numerous of the promotions for DAO never was included in future DLC or the Ultimate edition. However some like the Blood Armor was so we can only guess at this point.

Why would it be? It's just a piece of paper everyone buying DS2 is going to get?

I know that like posting magazine scans is not allowed, I didn't know if the same rule applies here.

Posting magazine scans is in a completely different ballpark then posting pictures of a card. The magazine has copyright of the contents inside.

They can give the armor to the ps3 players for not giving us hindsight belt. They should just make it a available unlock for dragonage legends as well.
