Well I started up Dead Space 2 on PS3 yesterday and I still don't see anything in my promotions, does anyone else see anything yet? it automatically signed me into my EA account, but I know my account is connected and working for sure since I can change my email settings in the game & it's automatically reflected on EA.com.

To further cloud the issue, I just found this reading through the Dead Space 2 email I received from EA yesterday (which I hadn't read, since I'd already pre-ordered the game; not sure why I read it now...):

Purchase Dead Space™ 2 now and get a code that unlocks a set of Isaac Clarke inspired armor for the upcoming, Action-RPG from BioWare™, Dragon Age II.

1) Play Dead Space 2 while logged in to your EA account

2) Play Dragon Age 2 while logged in to your EA account

3) You will receive in-game instructions on how to retrieve your
armor in Dragon Age II

EDIT: added screen of offer, to prove my sanity...

I guess maybe it won't even be in your promotions, you just have to play both games & it will unlock then? That would mean Fernando Melo was wrong though...

I watched the gametrailers review for this game, and frankly no, just no. I won't get it. I don't care if this is nice armour. The game, though nice graphically just does not suit my taste. It's like you're asking someone who always uses peanut butter and is quite satisfied, that if they want the added crunch, they need to buy some jam. Well, no. I do not want some jam with my peanut butter dammit! I just want the crunch! D:

This is so confusing. It's like we're getting different answers all over the place.

I wish someone would just come out and give a yes or no answer to if this will be availiable to people who purchased digitally.

Tbh i doubt anyone really know other then EA. But yeah i would really like to know aswell.

As for the ps3 version i thought it was stated that you need to log into your EA account with both games and follow the on screen instructions? or something similar.

Fernando said you just need to log in with your EA account in Dead Space 2 and the armor will be in your game promotions, I did that and don't see it in my promotions.

Just heard about this, and was sad to see that if you get Dead Space 2 on PS3, the DA2 armor will only unlock for PS3. To me, Dead Space is a game that is better suited for play on a console, so I picked it up for PS3. Plus the PS3 version comes with Dead Space Extraction, so I will get some use out of my Move.

I mostly game on PC though, and I pre-ordered DA2 on PC when they first annouced it. Hopefully they think this through, or somehow link it to your EA account, since the Bioware Social accounts are linked to your EA account.

Well since you have the PS3 version do you see it in your registered game promotions for PS3?

From what I've been reading Dead Space 2 is only about 7 hours long. Not worth $60 to me.

Question: I intend to Get Dragon Age 2 on 360 (Pre-ordered Signature edition ftw) However I also intend to get Dead Space 2 on PS3, Will I be able to get the armour on that version, or will I have to buy the 360 version to get the armour?

You'll have to buy the 360 version of Dead Space to get the armor on the xbox, only the PC and Xbox is cross-platform.

It's a really nice armour and good marketing strategy. But personally, to buy both DS2 and DA2 in order to get just one complete armour, I would have to think first about it. Plus I never got to finish the first DS game since it keeps giving me some heart attack.

However, it would be even better if they add in more stuff related to Dead Space that can be incorporated in DA2 like maybe a bow/crossbow that shoots like Isaac's engineering cutting tool (forgot its name) or maybe a special spell like the Time Manipulation Isaac used to get pass rapid moving door (kinda miss NWN Timestop spell).

Is this mean that  digital versions of DS2 (EADM & Steam) also have this promotion as well?

Has anybody preorder on Steam and get similar letter?

Those instructions apply to the PS3 versrion of DS2 ONLY. If you get a boxed copy of DS2 for PC or 360 you get a code to redeem and if you get a digital version of DS2.....well.....you get nothing.

Something to be aware of if you are buying Dead Space 2 to actually play (instead of just for the armor) there will only be Dead Space DLC for console versions, not for pc versions of DS2.

Bleh. I kind of expected this as DS1 DLC was never released for the PC either, so nothing changed I guess.

Then again, I paid £25 for the PC version, instead of £40 for the console version... EA likes making money out of console users more than those of us that play on the PC it seems. ;)

Maybe i'll pick it up for the 360 too at some point (when the price has dropped) so I can play the DLC. Maybe not.

So, if I got my hands on a code without buying DS2, I wouldn't have to do anything at all with DS2 (play it, register it, etc.) to get the armor to work for the 360 version of DAII?

Correct. For 360/PC you just need to enter the code here. :)

That is kind of disappointing.  Oh well, I guess they don't want to sell me DLC... who would have expected that?

EDIT: added screen of offer, to prove my sanity...

Alright, I think I figured this out now.

Fernando Melo wrote...

DS2 PC and 360 - code in box,
redeem here on social, see it on your registered promos page here on
social, get item in DA2 PC or 360 by logging into EA account in-game
(DA2)

DS2 PS3 - log in to EA account in-game (DS2), added to your
EA account (you should see it here on your registered promos page), get
item in DA2 PS3 only by logging into EA account in-game (DA2)

They both say the same thing, just forget that "you should see it here on your registered promos page" part, that apparently doesn't happen till after you log in to both games.

Thanks.  That's what I assumed, but I always like to make sure.
