True. If other people aren't annoyed by it, I can't blame BioWare for doing it . I just like the old days, where you bought a game and didn't have to look up which retailer had the best promo's and what other games you needed to get some item completionists like me just want to have :'(.

That being said: screw Dead Space. I'm too much of a wuss for horror games.

Yes, you are overreacting.  This is a Dead Space 2 armor that is being given to Dead Space 2 purchasers to promote Dragon Age 2.  It has nothing to do with the Signature Edition, so here is no reason to expect it as part of the Signature Edition.  In any case, the Signature Edition was supposed to be a free upgrade, so you shouldn't be paying more for it than for the normal edition.

I just bought dead space 2 via steam and I see no code except my cd-key. I´m still getting my armor, right? I mean i bought the game for DA 2 mainly......

I´ve read a few post ago that digital copies won´t be receiving this, but i´d like some "offical" response about this, if possible, since that info came from a normal user and maybe was just guessing and...

Thanks, im really anxious about this, I hope I haven´t spent 50 euros for a game Im not very interested (ds2). Some official info please, please.

I personally don't want your appology. I want an official appology for being blatantly lied to by EA or at the very least greatly mislead to the conception that every copy would receive this promo armor.

There is the bonus code in digital copies, not even from EA Store. Maybe you should've looked in this thread before buying as it was confirmed days ago.

Argh. I'm a major free content grubber; got all the Dr. Pepper stuff for ME2; however, DS2 doesn't interest me. I just don't do well on the horror games. Hate to miss out on this one but can't do a coaster game for 1 suit of armor..

LOL it's getting to be too comically painful to watch so many people waste so much money for a set of armor.....and they don't even bother looking up the details before they burn the money either. All this stuff has been repeated dozens of times over...

Digital downloads get nothing.
PS3 version only unlocks armor for PS3....no that won't be any good in the 360/PC versions of DA2
PS3 version doesn't use unlock codes.

The lulz just never stop.

Yeah, I read that the night the game came out, long after I'd purchased and paid for it.  That's sort of what set off the whole sense of 'wrongness' about it only coming in boxed PC copies, after weeks of advertising where that was never specified in any way, short of the seconds long statement at the end of the video.  It was never specified in anything that I read anywhere else.  And then an email comes the day the game's released which once again advertises the armor but in no way specifies that it's limited to retail copies.

Anyway, my point is we have never received any clear word from anyone at EA or Bioware with the definite statement that digital copies will never be able to get the content.  Maybe that's the case.  If so, that's extremely strange.   Not that I'll lose any sleep over it.  I bought DS2 because I loved DS1.  I don't really care about the armor, I just think it's a bit strange if they're intentionally discriminating between retail and digital customers.  Sort of giving an exponentially growing market the middle finger.

And as I pointed out earlier, DA2 isn't even out for more than a month, so I don't think anything is necessarily set in stone.  It's not like anybody actually has the armor right now, aside from seeing it named in their registered games promotion.

/sadface. I bought Dead Space 2 so I would have something to do this last month, and to get a cool armor of course. Nice to find out that I wont get the armor just cause I choose to buy the digital version, really nice!

any way to get this information added to the dragon age 2 add-ons page I only found out this information after searching and searching panicking that I wouldn't get my armor because I ordered the PS3 version and had no in box code. I was even told by an EA customer support person that the offer was not even valid for PS3. Please update the offer page with more detail and tell EA to properly inform their CS reps... being told the offer wasn't even valid nearly had me flipping out on the poor lady

Don't worry man, if you play Dead Space 2 it will show up in your promotions (took about 2 days for it to show up in mine).
