The one thing that has been nagging me. IF YOU GUYS ARE NOT DEAD SPACE FANS, WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE ABOUT THE DEAD SPACE ARMOR? If you are fans, then why haven't you bought Dead Space?
There are many people who kind got screwed out of their codes. Digital purchasers of DS2 and PS3 users all are having trouble with it.
Yeah, I wish people actually did reseach before posting stuff. With that notion, I am glad Urazz beat me in first come first serve, because he bought a digital copy and was screwed by EA. But have those people talked to a support person over EA chat? Depending on the person, they can be SUPER helpful, at least in my experience.
I had heard on this board that EA support is really helpful, but I was going back and forth with them before I managed to get a code and it was a huge waste of time.

Hmmmmm, like I said, depends on the person. With one issue, I talked to this guy and he was so rude. I tried again later that day and she helped me. Glad you finally managed to get a code

Just a heads up, I'll be making a
contest tomorrow with 2 armor codes up for grabs :-) PC/Xbox 360, so if
you bought DS2 PS3 or Digital keep and eye out ;-)
Awesome of you. How you get so many codes? A friend who works at a retailer? haha. Hopefully I can try to enter those and they don't close up before I get out of my classes

I think I got ripped off. I bought the collector's edition of Dead Space 2 on PS3 but didn't get any kind of a code. Wondering if this happened to anyone else?
You seriously just blew your money without even reading the thread or the wikia or....well....anything detailing how the promotion works? Seriously? It still baffles me how trusting people are of what the advertisings say.

I bought my Dead Space 2 in play.com, for PC, and it came with the code. I highly recommend buying the game, it has amazing graphics, gameplay, and an addicting multiplayer mode.
Multiplayer is unballanced and pretty crappy......if you play human you can take your upgraded armor and weaps but if you play as a necromorph you're boned......so you're either on the "let's spam stasis" side or you're on the "I should go get a drink while those guys decide to walk over here and finish me off so I can go back to single player" side.
But the single player story and campaign is more than amaing and enjoyable so the game is totally worth buying.....just don't buy digital download version unless you want to be left without the sweet DA2 armor and don't buy the PS3 version unless you're 100% sure you'll be playing DA2 on the PS3 and ONLY want the sweet armor for the PS3 version.

Your opinion of multiplayer is your own, and I respect that. However, the 'you can take your upgraded armor and weaps' statement is wrong in the same way saying Necromorphs can't take the upgrades they get. Humans do tend to spam Stasis, this is true, but then that's where spam spawning as the Pack comes in play. They like to waste it, so you wear em down.
You might believe there should be a balance between humans and necromorphs, as in every human who goes up against a necromorph in multiplayer should stand a fair chance of dying, regardless of the necromorph dodging or not dodging their shots. Necromorphs are fearsome in *packs*, not generally one on one unless you're one hell of a kiter.
As for the Ser Isaac's armor, meh. True and true, but I still hold out to the vain hope it'll be fixed or something.

Stop doing this game crossover bs please, it's getting really old. What's next? Play your facebook game for a Mass Effect 3 unlock? .. Raaaaaaage.
For the majority it's good marketing and EA love it and in the end Bioware belongs to them now.

You could at least make it a redeemable code so DS2 only players can trade it with DA2 players for an other cross-promotion code.
It is a redeemable code for PC and 360. It only isn't for PS3, which suggests that Sony probably is responsible.

Seems I need this, as EA and Steam support gave me the finger and no code (got Dead Space 2 on steam so...).FurousJoe wrote...

Problem is that the advertising for the armor seemed pretty straight forward that getting DS2 would get you the armor for DA2. There wasn't any real information on the advertisements that listed the exceptions on what platforms/types of purchases won't get it.HBC Dresden wrote...

I'm just lucky that I lucked out on my timing and got that code but I did talk to a support person at EA earlier and he really wasn't all that helpful and didn't get me a code. I'm not regretting on getting DS2 as it is a good game but this is a big mistake that EA made will give me pause on getting their games from now on.

So I got the Playstation 3 version and it seems it only counts the content for that version but I'm getting Dragon Age 2 for PC. Why can't I have it for PC? Why does it matter what I bought the other game for?
We don't know, only EA and Sony do, but I doubt they'll tell you why.
For now
