Sir Isaac Clarke Armor Giveaway contest! 2 codes up for grabs! (PC/Xbox 360)
 Hello and welcome, I got 2 armor codes for PC/Xbox360 that I'd like to give away to fans in need.
For now this is a warmup for the contest, at exactly 07:00PM GMT+1 I'll update this post with a question, as we go along I'll provide hints in regards to the question, you may be able to use this to your advantage 
The first 2 people to give the correct answer will be awarded with a code sometime tomrrow (Sunday the 6th).

Great contest idea FurousJoe! I was following the thread but already have two codes myself (one for my wife and me). As a Hitman fan myself, it was a really cool contest.

So, I just got Dead Space 2 and there was no code in there for Dragon Age 2. I contacted EA and they told me that Game Stop would give me the code after the release of Dragon Age 2. Can anybody confirm or deny this? Somehow it doesn't sound right to me.

My code (xbox 360) was on a glossy sheet inside the green case on top of the book along with another glossy sheet which had the EA online pass for multiplayer.

That is not true, the code is inside the sealed box. Sounds like gamestop employee took the code for himself.

If yours is the PS3 version, there is no code, and people detailed how to get the armor earlier in this thread.  If it is the PC version, the code is inside the game case on an insert.  I presume the XBOX version is like the PC version, but I am not sure.  I am playing the PC version now, so I can vouch for the fact that the code came inside the game case.  I just need to finish this game in the next few days so I have enough time to make it through Origins+Awakening+Golems+WitchHunt all in time for DA2.

I bought an open box copy of DS2 from my local GameStop too.....its case was a display case and one of the last they had in stock but I immediately fired the question about the codes and they handed me the codes with the discs which I redeemed as soon as I got home and worked. There's nothing EA can do for you now. It's YOUR responsibility to ensure that the retailer you buy from doesn't cheat you. And yes that means you have to know how the promotion works.....that the code is supposed to be inside the box.

This wouldn't totally surprise me.  Although it's never happened to me before, I've heard of simillar incidents with Game Stop.  Employees nabbing codes and/ or other pre-order incentives and then fencing them on E-Bay afterwards.  I guess now I know I can't trust them.  I'm definitely not forking out another $60. just for a code that may or may not be there.

Did you have to pre-order Dead Space 2 to get the armor, or is the code in all new copies?

EDIT: I didn't play Dead Space so I didn't even really think about getting Dead Space 2, but I saw a commercial for it one day and it seemed like it would be interesting (plus I've been needing a new game to hold me off until Dragon Age 2). If I'm going to get it then I'd certainly like to get the armor for DA2 as well, although it bothers me a bit that there's no advertising for the armor from any of the websites to purchase it from, and usually bonus content is listed somewhere.

I just thought that I would like to check it out.

I wouldn't recommend buying an open box copy o the game because the codes may be used or not there or whatever though I did this and specifically asked the GameStop employees for the codes and they worked.....still watch your step. But beyond that no this is not a preorder thing.....all new boxed copies of DS2 for the PC and xbox360 have a code inside. Should you decide to buy a digital version of the game or a PS3 version then may EA have mercy on you.

Online is a large place....some retailers more trusted than others. It's a possible solution yes as long as you feel you can trust the retailer(I'm on good terms with Amazon, they haven't screwed me yet) and you make sure you purchase a new copy. The box should be sealed.....still if at all possible it'd be a good idea to see the box factory sealed before handing over your money so if any of your local stores have it in stock that would be good too.

Just buy it on Amazon.  If you buy a new copy, it will come with the code inside.

Any chance of platform shifting? I have the PS3 version of Dead space 2, and on my "Registered game promotions" page it says I have the armor for PS3. Unfortunately I have an existing pre-order for the PC version of Dragon Age 2, so this isn't particularly useful for me. Anyone know if Bioware/EA are prepared to shift the platform on these bonuses?

You can try calling their customer service but from the looks of it you'll likely get the same response as the others who tried.....you're probably SOL. Though to be fair this thread has been up for a long time so you probably should have looked up the details before buying.

When you own digital copy of Dead Space 2 and registered to yours EA Account and after Dragon Age 2 is available registered to yours EA Account, the promotions Dead Space 2 Armor included the game.
