Not worth the effort for me.

Its good for those who plan on getting both games, but for those who are just fans of one or the other, its nothing.

I hated Dead Space and couldn't finish it. I won't even attempt Dead Space 2, and definitely not for a DA2 extra.

Looks like my reaction to this thread is similar to the others.

I'll pass on this one. As much as I like to get every item related to DA2, getting Dead Space doesn't appeal to me. Also, I agree with EnforcerGREG, this probably wasn't the reaction EA was expecting for this marketing strategy.

Nobody is forcing you to buy DS to get the armor. Its just a bonus for people who do.

While I personally won't be picking up DS anytime soon, the offer expires end of March 2012 so I'll wait till the price drops.

Dead Space was a great game very atmospheric, I hate to ask a question that will no doubt be repeated a million times but if i order DS-2 for the PS3 does the code unlock the version for PC (which I plan to play DA-2 on) & consoles or just the console for which you purchased the game for?

I mean Dead Space was really good. Dead Space 2 from what I have heard and the reviews I've seen looks even better. I'll probably get Dead Space 2 eventually though....but the armor just looks like metal plates slabbed on a piece of white cloth, and looks okay I guess...sort of...not really...LOL

Indeed, I doubt I will be buying Dead Space 2 at full price at launch, as badly as I do want this sick looking armor.

Maybe it will be unlocked through trophies/achievements, like the DLC items were for Dragon Age through Leliana's Song & the like.

Does it freaking say you have to buy the game to play DA2? NO! It's a suit of armor. An extra for the game. It will very likely be included in the edition with all the DLC, anyway.

well i hope those "stats" they show at DA site is not among the most uber in game els i may have to buy DS for the code and hope someone buys it on e-bay

Here's a spoiler alert... They're not trying to sell Dead Space. It's a high profile game, it will sell innumerably more copies then Dragon Age 2 because a TPS Survival Horror game is innately gonna sell more then an RPG. As much as I am excited for DA2, hell I'm more excited for it then Dead Space 2 but I feel it's pretty clear that Dead Space 2 will be a bigger seller.

Didn't mind the game myself, but since it was so quick to finish there was no point buying it. Same will likely happen here. Rent DS2 for a weekend, then never look back. No biggie if I/you miss out on one armor inspired by it.

Of course, it probably helps my case that I don't really like the looks of the armor (to say nothing of the helmet :3). Some people just want every freebie their paws can grab.

Big question for Bioware. Please, please let me use the code from the PS3 version of Dead Space 2 for the PC version of Dragon Age II. The fine print makes it seem like only PC and 360 codes are interchangeable, and that is complete bull.

I don't want the 360 or PC versions of Dead Space 2 as those versions don't come with Dead Space Extraction. Likewise, I don't want the PS3 version of Dragon Age II as that version is hobbled when compared to the PC version (and I already have the PC signature edition pre-ordered). So I just wanted to clear this problem up.
