As someone who pre-ordered the Signature Edition (where it will be included as well) and knowing that Dead Space2 does not come from Bioware nor does its setting have to do anything with Thedas I personally dislike this move and can't understand it.

I already thought that the Blood Dragon Armor felt out of place in Mass Effect2 but I always justified that move with the fact that ME2 is a Bioware title...

But hey wait:

okay here's the deal.. I bought Dead Space 2 on my PS3, except i'm in the EU and bought the US version because it came with the replica plasma cutter, if I buy the EU Dragon Age 2, will I still get the armour? how does the game "know" I have Dead Space 2? what account does it use? i'm confused about the whole EA/Bioware account mess.. the whole thing is confusing

Eh... sorry guys but

a) I am not going to blow another $50 or $60 on Dead Space 2 just so I can have access to this armour.  I got the first Dead Space on Steam just because of the Steam Holiday Blowout, when it was available for $7 or so.  Only played it through the intro, so feel no desire to immediatelly get Dead Space 2;

B) the armour doesn't look that amazing, what with the Dead Space helmet and all. I have this aversion to helmeted characters (especially my player character or my companions) and not being able to see their eyes and face. It just detracts from the game experience for me - and don't even get me started on the whole toggle helmet option not being available in Mass Effect 2 - spent the whole game with my Shepard going sans helmet. So what if he's gonna get his head blown off, what's important is that I can see his face! Posted Image

c) finally, I really didn't find much use for the Blood Dragon armour in DA:O and so will probably find little use for this armour.

As much as I would like to get it (since I love to get all the goodies... speaking of which, WHEN is Legends finally going to be released, cuz I want them 5 goodies in DA2, I do! Posted Image), I'm just not spending so much money on a promotional armour that I may or may not end up using.  Make it part of the pre-order bonus package or perhaps include it in a later DLC or whatever, then I'll get it, but I see no reason to get this totally unrelated game just for one in-game item. But on legends in order to get far you have to spend real money. you'll only be able to play maybe 30-45 minutes and then wait for character cool downs. I'm assuming you'll have to go in pretty far into the game to start releasing the DLC from it. I'm assuming the amount need to get the items, but I'm guessing at least $50 of real money to starting playing longer and getting the better weapons.

The game has a built in helmet toggle for those individuals who want to wear any armor set without worrying about facial expressions not being seen.

There is also a toggle for sustained abilities, such as rock armor, that put an effect on the characters.

So you can wear the helmet and hide it from sight as well!

What just happened? So I bought the game for PC, installed it, registered it, and then I discover that my armor wasn't registered here, nor is there a code in my brand new copy of DS2.

*Nevermind, found it, it was hidden away sadistically.

Will have to wait and see, as I didn't get into the beta, so don't rightly know.  But... if that will be the case, then that's another 5 goodies I won't be getting. But am reserving judgment until it's released.
Facebook games are kinda funny like that... it's a free social game, where you have an option to spend real money to progress faster in the game... but it is still doable to progress at a slower pace, utilizing the game mechanics, without spending real money.
There are things I cannot do... but there are certainly things I will do. Posted Image

I don't think you're expected to, I took it as a nice bonus for those who enjoy both series. This why I am more than a little annoyed that I don't get it due to my choice in platforms (PS3 for DS2 and PC for DA2).

Especially since they always have bonuses for pre-ordering early, my platform choices were locked in before they even announced this extra.

Im proud that these two Honourable Companys are helping each other to become wealthier and more awesome! Hail Bioware! Hail EA!

Question, I rented Dead Space 2 on PS3 a wee while back and never got anything to do with the armor, now I thought well maybe I need a code, so I asked in the shop and they had no idea what I was talking about. I decided to just ignore it and maybe eventually buy Dead Space 2.

NOW the Dragon Age 2 demo is out and I was playing away (really loved it btw) and got Hayder's Razor as promised. Then I gave the controller to my dad and let him play, now when he finished the demo he also got Hayder's Razor but he has Ser Isaacs Armor aswell, how on earth is that possible?!?!
He did not have it before the demo.

Edit:
Just rented Dead Space 2 again, and made sure I was signed in and about 10 mins after playing, it was in my promotion thingy. Apparently the last time I played I wasnt logged in, I'm such a ****** lol.

I purchased deadspace 2 from Direct2Drive.. No code was given for the armor there and didn't see any code in the PDF version of the manual. Can anyone shed any light on this? I have logged in with my EA account and recieved no error there.

Nothing was sent to me, but I have found a code printed and hidden away in my games' box, after that it's just a matter of redeeming it here. Anyway, problem solved.

Found the code hidden in game box behind Bulletstorm flyer. Redeemed it and it's now in my list along with Hayder's Razor.

Dunno what to feel about this. It looks good, but I'm not going to get it. Can't help but feel that a lot of people like myself are missing out. Sure the armour is a little thing to be honest, but it's indicative of the whole get this exclusive and that exclusive here and there before it runs out. It feels like a gimmick that sets apart the gamers and loyay customers who didn't immediately buy up all the deals they offered. I don't mind some of it, but it seems to be getting out of hand these days.

So I just called EA and they told me that you will still get the code even if you digitally downloaded. They assured me that the day the game is released i will get an email with the code. (posting this because I have seen a lot of posts saying that you won't get the code if you digitally download).

Called again, to a person who was more familiar with the concerns people are having with digital download (having done the same thing himself) and he checked for me saying that the code is already registered with my EA account, and all i have to do is log in (not even needing a code) and i will already have the armor linked to my account.
:)

This is a nice little addition, but I can't imagine it'll convince anybody who wasn't going to buy Dead Space 2 in the first place to pick up a copy.

:( please make the code compatible between PS3 and 360. There is no reason why they shouldn't be. The fans bought the game why should they be limited because of which console it is on. We supported you EITHER way, whether or not it's through Sony or Microsoft.

Hmm, I never did enter a code, it just automatically did it one day.

And, I was thinking about getting deadspace for awhile, so this just made it an easier choice. I still don't regret it, although I'm still attempting to beat the first one. Just need some free time :)

Nothing will be sent to you, it is linked automatically through your EA account, basically, no need to stress (directly from EA respresentative).
