you misunderstood me, I wanted to know if it's better to play dead space 1 before dead space 2. I've not played dead space 1, been meaning to but with fall out 3/new vegas, da:o, gt5 etc never got around to buying it.

You do not even need to own a PS3... just find someone who has a PS3 and boot a copy of Dead Space 2 on that console. One successful login and you are done. Also, here's some tentative proof:

If I recall correctly, here's what you need to do...

Login to PSN. Yes, this will force you to update if you do not already have 3.60 of the PS3 system software.

Start Dead Space 2. You will be required to install the Dead Space 2 ver 1.01.

Select Online Pass from the main menu. I believe you will be asked to enter your EA account. You'll be presented with an option to enter your EA account, then once successful, pushed to a page where you can redeem a code or purchase the pass. No need to go further.

You're done.  Login to your Bioware account on your computer and you should see the Ser Issac armor in your list of registered game content for ALL THREE platforms of DA2.  Next login to the DA2 game with the same EA id... load a savegame... it should now pop a new quest with a note telling you to go home.  Ser Issac armor will be in the chest. I know this info is likely elsewhere in the thread but it should be repeated.

but according to the official dragon age 2 website it expires 2012 not 2011

Wel it still works i just did it with the PS3 version and wolla its in my PC / PS3 promo list and even for the 360...

Yes, it is.

actually you'll find  no it's not(at least not cross-platform in regards to all 3 platforms), the xbox(and pc) code unlocks it for pc & xbox(but not for the ps3) while ps3 unlocks all 3. so if you want the unlock on the ps3 you'll need to buy ds2 on the ps3 I'm afraid

not that this anything to do with it, but does anyone have any glitches with the "puddle" of blood. I can't seem to pass it, I did before, but for some reason I can't get past this blood thing--that's where Leandra gets killed, and Hawke finds her....Anyone for help would be appreciated.

Will have to admit that I'm glad I didn't spend the money on this game just to get the armor. A buddy of mine has it and I've seen it. The armor looks good but the stats suck big time. At least I saved $60 bucks or so by not wasting my money on a game I'd maybe try out and play once. Well I'm going back to my NWN play through.

If anyone is desperate to get it and who don't feel like this is cheating, it seems you can obtain it through using the additem console (obtained by following these directions at http://social.biowar...index/6577690/1) without the purchase of Dead Space 2 by entering the respective codes: prm000im_isaac_chest.uti; prm000im_isaac_gloves.uti; prm000im_isaac_boots.uti; prm000im_isaac_helm.uti
I am unaware if you must be signed into your EA account while playing or if it was already scripted with the original game, waiting to be unlocked. This was good for me because I foolishly tossed around the codes I got with Dead Space 2 not thinking I'd ever buy Dragon Age 2. Hope this helped. Codes courtesy of the Dragon Age Wiki.

Thanks, worked a champ. Too bad the armor set isn't higher level, but it's decent for a lower level player. Also, you can use the vaddi utility, in addition to the additem one. That's here:

Those codes are the same for vaddi:

And they do appear to have been scripted into the original game. I could add them without being signed in.

I'm a Dead Space Fan and Dragon Age Fan,I've not tried the armor on yet but I watched the video and I'm looking forward to it.
I think they did a good job with the design, I'll be trying it on tommorow.
What can i say I like sci-fi,horror and fantasy.
Dash Of Isaac in DA2 will be fun.

So long as the code was entered properly and the content downloaded, it should be in a chest in your home base.
