I sent a PM to Chris asking if the code works cross-platform. I post here what he says if he replies. :)

EA have actually convinced me not to get DS2 until I've read more than one review of it. The way EA have been promoting it, the boring demo and giving "exclusive" reviews to magazines have given me the suspicion that DS2 will be mediocre at best and their PR people are doing damage limitation. "Your mom hates Dead Space 2"? Seriously, that was the best they could come up with?

There's definitely no reason to buy DS2 if you don't want to, even for completists who want everything.

EDIT: Thanks for the YouTube link, thepiebaker. Seems like this has been in the works for a while and they're only announcing it now, more desperation from EA to shift copies of DS2 at launch. I'm still going to wait and see on it.

EA should include a Crysis 2 suit in Mass Effect 3. It'll fit better.

is this a joke??? Dead Space is not even made by Bioware why should i buy Dead space just to get that armor...:(

It's just EA being EA again.

Anyway, I loved the first Dead Space. Definitely buying the second.

Please don't make me buy a 60 dollar horror game for a small in game item. You know I'd do it, but I beg you not to.

...you probably can't remove the helmet.

Buying drinks in bars will now be BioWares new catch scene in all of their games.

Thanks spectre. I was wondering the same thing as well. I'll be getting dead space on the PS3 for extraction but getting dragon age 2 for the xbox since all my save games are there.

I hope it does... won't be getting it otherwise. I'm getting DA2 for the PC and DS2 for the PS3.

I think that is a little wrong. Why buy another game for around $60 just to get a set of armor that you can't even use until you have high Dexterity and high Cunning? That is a marketing ploy from another game trying to make this game look bad and feed off the future success of DA2 because DS2 is a different genre of game. That is a bad move in my book.

for all of you who think just playing dead space 2 will get you the armor you're wrong... you need the code to redeem it that comes with the purchase of every new copy of dead space 2, just like the blood dragon armor

i wonder once we enter the code will it give us the suit for all 3 consoles, probably not, i play dragon age on pc but i got dead space collectors edition for ps3.

one can hope

I'd like to know this b/c I planned on getting DS2 for PS3, but DA2 for X360, weird I know but I played DS1 on PS3 before I had a 360.  So is the code across consoles like redeeming here on the site or is the code for 1 specfic system only? I really want to know before I make my mind up about DS2...

Did we find out if we buy Dead Space 2 on xbox if the code will work for a PC version of Dragon age 2? I would hope EA would me smart enough to make the code work for cross platforms.

No. It's not. Fans of DS2 and DA2 get a nifty cross-promotional bonus and I see no problem with it. Unless you hate free stuff. EA isn't forcing you to buy anything. They are just rewarding fans of both games (like me).

PC and 360 codes are cross platform (like the ME2 Blood Dragon Armor). What is unknown is whether PS3 and PC/360 is cross platform.

This is both awesome, and completely out of place. But since I was going to buy Dead Space 2 anyway, it's just a neat bonus.

Oh, the endless whining, how I missed it so!

Why is it that people feel the need to ****? Nobody in the history of time has ever based their buying decision for a game off getting a free set of armor in another game, nobody. At this point, anybody who's buying Dead Space 2 has been planning it out for months. I've had my Collector's Edition pre-ordered for months, and that was long before this was even thought of. It's basically just a kindly reward for anybody who was going to buy the damn game anyway. So, please people, stop with the entitlement ****ing.

And thank you, BioWare.

Clever cross promotion one thing I'd have to ask though is if the back of Ser Isaac's armor has a clever health and energy/mana/whatever resource indicator integrated onto it just like the source material's? If it does then that would be incredible. Still not enough to get me to purchase Dead Space but incredible nonetheless!

I am positive that we can since on the website it lists armor properties seperately for the helm, boots etc.
