I just loaded steam and saw the DA : 2 pre-order offer but personnally after all the stability isses with the first game I'm going to wait to see how many people appear complaining of random crashes on the boards before purchasing my copy of the new one.

Was wondering how many other people have been put off the series by all the crashing in the original and then its expansion.

I preordered Signature Edition...I like my free stuff.

As for how this game is compared to the first, I am waiting to be thrilled but pessimistic...we will see how it is...we will see.

I'm preordering. I'm a sucker for bonus goodies no matter HOW useless!

DAO never crashed on my PC and Awakening once.  Can't imagine DAII will cause me any stability issues.

Eh... If I can enjoy FO:NV at launch with all the bugs, I can handle whatever DA2 throws at me. The game itself looks like another good one, so why the hell not, I say.

I preordered because I found a good price. Stability wasn't a problem for me with Origins...but then I didn't buy it until April last year.

I've played DA:O on two platforms and had zero stability issues. This is a stupid question from this side of the screen.

Preordered, simply because every change (after the claim of hack'n'slash combat was dismissed) seems to make it better to me than Origins, which was a pretty awesome game.

I pre-ordered DA2 about two weeks ago for my 360 and no, I'm not concerned about any instability issues as I've never had any problems playing DAO/DAA/other DLCs on my console. Heck, I've clocked in over 1,000 hours on the whole lot and haven't come across any of the glitches that seem to plague others. Who knows, maybe I'm just lucky.

DA:O was probably the most stable RPG that I played on the PC in a long time. The only issue I had with it was the memory leak. Games like the Witcher (original version), Fallout 3 and New Vegas, NWN2 and expansions, Risen, and a few others all had major issues on my PC, plus a hefty amount of bugs. I do not remember any significant bugs or crashing in DA:O, honestly.

I have not played Awakenings, so I don't know about that one.

I never had any crashing issues on my computer, and my laptop is as old as dirt and as slow as molasses.

To me the crashes started after I started playing awakening, the 10001 killing the Mother really made me not wanting it anymore , I might start doing US from now on just to not get there lol.

About buying DA2, am not sure yet.. dissapointed big time, but oh well maybe when is so cheap or when not one is playing it, I'll rent or buy it, not sure yet.

I do like reading about the game, but still in no mode of dishing cash on it for the moment.

I preordered back in October (IIRC). Have had DAO crashing a few times, but not that many that it really bothers me. And my computer isn't the best for gaming anyway...

The only thing I'm worried about is whether my computer will be able to handle all of DA2:s awesomeness...

Pre-ordered, I have faith in Bioware. Not even sure if my PC will handle it so it'll probably be sat on my shelf for a while :-) But hey, at least I'll get all my pre-order bonuses and all the bugs fixed when I can play it.

I pre-ordered.

Normally I never bother pre-ordering something since I've never had a problem with shortages on release days, but since I've always planned on buying DA:2 on its release day or the day after ANYWAY, the free upgrade to Collector's Edition seemed like a very good deal.

Considering how godawful stability was for a LOT of people in DAO for PC, one can only assume Bioware learned from their mistakes and fine tuned the sequel to be more hardware/software friendly. If not, may god help us all...

I have other things I'm more interested in right now so I'm waiting for the Ultimate Edition, it'll probably be out in a year and half past release, have most of the free stuff and give me something to do while waiting for DA3.
