DA 2 SE - the first game I've pre-ordered in my life.

I have DA: O /  Awakening on PC and it works great without any crashes.

Pre-ordered the Signature Edition back in December.
Really looking forward to DA2! ^_^

DA2 is the second game I have pre-ordered ever. So that's saying something.

Edit: Also, it turned out cheaper this way. In the UK the price went up after the Signature Edition offer ended.
So not only do I get more free stuff, it was actually cheaper than it would be now.

I am likely to preorder soon. I am just dragging my feet because I lack that familiar excitement of picking up where I left off with my character and crew so I keep forgetting to put in my order. It'll be a fun game though!

Nah, I'll wait for proper reviews and gameplay vids. Need to get a better computer first too.

Same here. Except my comp is OK to run it and I will wait for the TS.  No TS, no deal for me then. :? :crying: ;)

I never had issues with crashing in DA:O In fact I think its the most stable RPG I’ve ever played.
Still I don’t preorder games. I usually wait until a game has been out for a few months when the game has hopefully dropped in price, read some reviews, watch a few gameplay vids and then maybe buy it.
Perhaps I’m being overly cautious but games costs allot of money and waiting isn’t going to kill me. *shrug*

I've played DA:O on two platforms and had zero stability issues. This is a stupid question from this side of the screen.

Not a stupid question at all, what is stupid is your mannerisms.

I had zero problems with my GT8800 but now that I have a ATI 4850 I get crashes that happen when too many spells are on the screen, seems a prevalent problem with ATI and DAO (no other games crash that I play though). Still preordered though. ME2 runs flawlessly, I hope there is the same production values with DA2.

I pre-ordered. I might as well get the extra free stuff, since I know I will buy the game eventually. Plus, I have faith in bioware's ability to make games.

Don't EA and nVidia have some sort of deal that ATI don't? That's the cause of your problem right there. ;)

Seriously though, I have built myself around 6 PCs over the last few years.
One of them had an ATI card... never again, I had so many issues with it.

Sadly for me both the previous systems ( going back now but one a AMD 64 and then a AMD 64 triple core which used nvidia cards ) and this system which is a intel with a ATI still suffer from stability issues tho ME2, Dawn of War, WoW etc all run fine.

From prowling the PC tech forum etc mine wasn't so bad just meant having to remember to quick save after every fight/ large encounter which in hindsight prolly meant i got to see a lot of the dialogue options quicker.

Pre-ordered signature edition. Bioware hasn't let me down so far. As others have said, the free stuff is just a nice bonus.

I never had any problems with stability until I installed Awakening, so I'm not worried about stability. I'm not preordering, though, partly because there have been enough changes that I want to read a review or three first, and partly because I'm finding the heavy push to preorder a tad off-putting.

Not wasting more than 20 bucks on this game, just not enough length to justify full price.

Pre-ordered the signature edition.

I had several problems with crashing and freezing when I first got DAO, but those problems just seemed to...magically go away one day, and it's run smoothly ever since!
