My game never crushed, maybe slow loading times, yes, but that's cause my graphics card wasn't very good. I have a new laptop though, so I expect there won't be an issue.

I pre-ordered as soon as they announced SE.

Preordered SE for the XBox. I would like to get the PC version eventually, but I want to upgrade my current PC before I attempt that, since Origins is prone to crashing on it.

Was wondering how many other people have been put off the series by all the crashing in the original and then its expansion.

Not me--Origins is one of the most stable games I've played in years.  I only ran across ONE crash bug, and I think I maybe had as many as THREE whole crash-to-desktop instances in a given playthrough.  That's not bad considering a playthrough is about 43 hours for me, that and I tend to binge and do that 40 hours in 3 days, so I get a lot of creeping iterative errors that gradually slooooooowwwww theeeee gaaaaaaame wayyyyyyyy dooooooowwwwwn.  But it's still a lot better than almost anything else I've ever played.

Awakening, now--Awakening was a little too buggy for me.  It didn't *crash* that I ever noticed, but enough things failed to work or happened oddly (I fell off the scenery!) that it was annoying.

So, yeah, I'm preordering.  Now, if you have a system that had a lot more conflicts with the game and resulted in crashamundo for you, I totally sympathize.

I pre-order everything I'm sure that I'll end up buying, even if the reviews are bad.

I loved Dragon Age so much that I'd give DA2 a shot no matter what.

I would've pre-ordered, but I can't decide whether to get the game on pc or console. The pc version was, by anyone's standards, better, but I had so many technical issues with it that I'm wondering if it's worth it*. The console version is supposed to be much improved this time around, so I think I'll wait and see just how much improved it really is before a final decision.

*Stuff like patching and then not being able to run the game because you don't have Microsoft Visual Arts C++ 2005, weird graphics errors, having to buy a new graphics card - those sorts of things tend to get on your nerves after a while.

Pre-ordered the SE... twice... had to cancel the first one due the EA store (and the unfortunate person who subsequently answered my phone call) being silly.

Ended up paying a little more for peace of mind.. at a different store.

I loved origins and I didn't pre-order it. I'm sure I'll love DA2 but I won't pre-order it, sucks to miss out on the freebies but I don't like putting money down until I'm pretty sure about what I'm getting...

My preferred retailer didn't get the fancy SE edition and I'm still a tad concerned with the direction the game is taking, so I'm waiting a bit. I have grand ideas of waiting for the Ultimate Edition like others have mentioned, but if the reviews are stellar I likely won't be able to make it that long.

I got suckered into pre-ordering because of the pre-order only character *shakes fist angrily*

If it was just gear and crap I would have just waited for reviews to see if it was good. Wait, I shouldnt say this because they might pull the same crap move again for future games...

This was Bioware's pre-order announcement:

This limited edition of Dragon Age II will be available at no extra cost for gamers who pre-order Dragon Age II before January 11, 2011. Featuring over $20 of additional content, the Dragon Age II BioWare Signature Edition includes the full version of Dragon Age II, along with a download code for an additional playable character and new missions, the Dragon Age II digital soundtrack, an exclusive in-game digital armory featuring a variety of in-game weapons and other digital in-game items.

At no extra cost and the $20 value listed gave me the impression that the Signature Edition, or at least the content, would be available after 11/01/2011 for, oddly enough, $20-$30 more.

Since I was a little broke over christmas, I waited to pre-order with the full intent of giving Bioware/EA $20-$30 more money than all those who chose to pre-order earlier. Now, I've come to realise that the extra content will never be available again. How can you value something that will never be sold or was it simply an educated guess to it's value on Bioware's part?

Anyway, you can guess that I'm a little upset right now as I'm a dedicated fan of Bioware's games and was very much looking forward to this game too, with all the bells and whistles included. Caveat emptor I suppose.  :(

I'm waiting for Stability and for the inevitable price drop that comes after a Game peaks...

I never buy anything as soon as it comes out anymore...even Studios as good as Bioware end up being rushed by Marketers and it's simply impossible to test for every possible PC config, so I wait a bit.

Got really burned by Civ IV...bought it 6 Months after it's release and still had to wait almost another 6 months to be able to play it! I realize that's a pretty extreme example of a Game by the WORST Game producers out there...Take Two Interactive absolutley can't produce ANYTHING that works properly...even for Platforms!

Ok, just found this post by Chris Priestly:

Correct. The Signature Edition will NOT be sold after tomorrow.
We will likely sell the Sig Ed items as DLC or items (like the soundtrack) seperately. I think the Sig Ed page says $20 of value for free if you get teh Sig Ed edition, so that should be roughly what it will cost.

So, it's all good by the sound of things. I hope this includes the Digital Armory too.  :)
