I was originally going to wait and see about DA2 stability before purchasing, but after seeing all of the stuff that is included with the signature edition, I made an impulse decision and put my pre-order in.  I may still wait until I actually play DA2, since I still have stuff to do in Origins, so I don't get stuck somewhere or have my gear disappear on me after running into some nasty bug.  I'm sure people will be posting all about any bugs when they show.  After Origins, Awakening and the rest of the dlc all getting shipped full of bugs, I'd actually be surprised if DA2 was any different.  Perhaps hell will freeze over and DA2 will actually ship without any bugs whatsoever?  One can only wish...

Ok, just found this post by Chris Priestly:

Correct. The Signature Edition will NOT be sold after tomorrow.
We will likely sell the Sig Ed items as DLC or items (like the soundtrack) seperately. I think the Sig Ed page says $20 of value for free if you get teh Sig Ed edition, so that should be roughly what it will cost.

So, it's all good by the sound of things. I hope this includes the Digital Armory too.  :)

If i purchase the GOTY edition or the Ultimate edition in 8 month with all the patch during a steam deal for half the price you paid . Not only i will play  a superior product than you did for 3 time the price but i will have the opportunity to enjoy something that been collecting dust for you for the last 7 month.

The only thing you had over me .. The first week of Hype ..
I'm still in fact waiting for New vegas .. I don't regret it at all . New vegas was a mess at launch.

i just hope for you that DA2 won't dissapoint you .. Such a waste of money.
*waiting for review*

Waiter always win . When you throw your money it's just won't come back.

And what happens if you get crushed in a car wreck in 6 months? Image IPB

You can say DA2 will be shelved in a month, maybe it will be for you. But DA:O has been out for a hair longer than that, and I just finished another playthrough of it.

Go ahead and wait. If you're not that big of a fan of the franchise, waiting is probably the best bet for the very reasons you said. But that's not what I plan to do... money isn't important to me. I'll pay extra to get what I want sooner.

Never had a problem with stability with DA:O, but still feel burned by the awfull DLC's.

Not pre-ordering as I'm far from convinced DA2 is a game for me. Less content, higher price + more "actionny" doesnt inspire confidence.

Guess I'll probably end-up with GOTY edition a year after launch or so.

Ordered the SigEd. Cheaper, more content and I can always cancel if any more previews really ****** me off. Win, win.

DAO hardly crashed at all for me.  Lots of RAM seems to help these issues a lot.

The mistake with this rationale is that you are extrapolating your gameplay habits to others.

Me, for example, I have gotten an insane amount of value out of DA:O. I have probably replayed the game once a month. But that's because I really like it. It's why I bought it. I only buy games that I plan to replay several times (otherwise I'd just rent the console version).

I pre-ordered 2 copies, 1 download and 1 hard copy (my son had to have a hard copy. I'm not concerned about bugs. They'll get fixed rather quickly if there are any.

I bought DAO originally for my son.  Then with the UE came out, I bought it for myself.  I've played the game 14 times since then which tells you how much I enjoy it.  I'm hoping I get that much enjoyment of out DA2.

I've preordered because I'm OCD about the DLC collectibles.

Also I got no worries about stability. I've never had DAO crash on me, I've had ingame bugs, but every game has that pretty much.

Preordered in december.
In six or seven playthroughs of DA:O (on two different computers) I've had five crashes, and two of them were caused by a mod, so i don't recognize the instability problem.

To be honest I didn't even know people were having problems (haven't even visited the tech-support forum).
