My Human Warrior is Too squishy, (as it easily killable)

im lvl 7 with:
22 STR
20 CON
20 Cunning
15 DEX

(everything else is at what it started)

how can i make my guy more DMG resilient.

(I'd hate to have to cheat)

Waaaaay too much CUN and waaaaaay too little DEX for a warrior! For a warrior: STR and CON then DEX - leave everything else alone, with the exception of the occasional boost in the others.

DEX is what helps you avoid an attack in the first place. Higher DEX = fewer hits, to put it simply...

More dex (always overlooked by people) to a avoid being hit altogether.



Get some better armour.



Not a lot you can do at level 7, you will need to adjust your group tactics to use more crowd control until you can get some levels under your bet, at level 7 you are still in lothering (or just leaving it) so there is plenty of game left to adapt with.

Second Vestor, although I'd say Willpower is equally as important as Dex depending on your warrior build, since Willpower determines your total stamina. Str and Con are the big two you need, Dex and Will you can alternate spending points on.

I wanted CUN because i couldn't get the quarnary (sp?) in the cage at lothering. i just couldn't persuade that "mother-chick-lady" or what ever she is in the chantry. I'd have to start over to fix this? or can i just stop adding cun and work on DEX from now on? I have the bext armor i can buy (heavy chainmail Iron)

I believe that if you just pick up leilana, you'll be able to free Sten without needing to rely on persuasion (could be wrong here, but I think this would work...)

Personally I'd say live with how you started and learn to adjust from there on - consider it a concrete lesson in the mechanics of the game.

But that's just me...

I did happen to have Leliana with me at the time and it was her presence that allowed me to talk to the Mother about Sten.

OK, if i start over what would i need?



I just want to be a Huge DMG dealer and taker. (no spells specials or anything else)

but i also still would like to be able to get my group mates (like sten)



what stats should i focus on?

For pure sword and board warrior, like I said, STR & DEX mainly. If you want some stamina to use abilities, throw some WIL in as well.

I just picked the lock to get Sten out of the cage.  I assume the bard girl could do that for you? The bandit leader has good armour once you kill him.

I think what you are experiencing is just tactics and crowd control issues.  Your build is not optimal but few more point of dex wont make that much of a difference so I doubt reloading an earlier save will fix your problem.

Id like to add that before lvl 10`ish, ANY class with ANY gear will feel like a papertoy that dies in pretty much 2 seconds from any damage source.

strength & dex 3 points in strength next level 3 in dex then ever 3 levels or so ad 1-3 points in Con for health if u want. I focused mostly on dex & strength with my lv21 warrior & i can take so much damage & deal a fair amount as well.
