This has probably already been mentioned before, but if they just got rid of the green glowy light in the eye slits, then it would have fit quite well into DA2. Maybe that was too difficult though? I cant remember seeing slit style helmets in DAO

It's not a Isaac helm w/o the glowing green!

I realize you are probably joking, but it would look sooooo much better without it.

Actually I'm not(well, not actually taking the armor complaints that serious, but still).  Sure you could argue that it would look better in the DA2 universe if it wasnt green, but then it wouldn't be an Isaaac Helmet.  I like the glowing eyes, specifically because it looks more like DS.

I agree, I do not approve of all of these cross promotions. At least with ME2 and DA, okay, those were two BioWare games that came out around the same time, but Dead Space? What?

I think it was something that EA pushed on BioWare to help with sales for DS2. It makes sense anyhow, since they're both being released roughly around the same time.

Have you considered that this promotion may not actually be aimed at people buying DA2, but the other way round?

Along comes Joe Blogs, buys his new shooter and inside the box is "Set Isacc's Armor" for Dragon Age 2.

Joe then thinks to himself: Dragon Age 2, what's that? Never heard of it. Googles it, watches a few gameplay trailers... hmm, actually, that looks pretty cool. Never played an RPG before, but it looks good. *Buys*

It's called trying to open up new sales opportunities folks. You may not like it, and no one is forcing you to buy it.

Having said all that, obviously it's good news for people that already like both Genres, and were considering getting/had pre-ordered the games anyway. I enjoyed the original, and I'm more inclined to buy DS2 at some point now, so their strategy is working.

It looks pretty silly. Not as hideous as the Blood Dragon Armor, but silly.

Not that I was planning to get DS2 anyway...

I'll wait for the next FIFA game, hopefully then I can deck Hawke out in the football strip of my choice.

Wow, this is bad... I don't mind the armor part, I was going to pick up Dead Space 2 anyway, but this is not a beginning of something that can end well - what's next, Barbie Horse Adventures mount?

The thing that pisses me off the most about this, though is the fact that I won't get to use the armor - I play Bioware games exclusively on PC, and was planning to buy DS2 on PS3 for extraction

Do Not Want.

Sure I got the blood dragon armor in ME2 because I bought DAO, but I never once used it in ME2 (or DAO for that matter). I'm not a fan of DS and this cross-game promotion interests me not.

Barbie horse adventures mount, on the other hand, does sound quite interesting. I'd love to see Hawke riding Barbie while Kent looks on in rage. Then we can have a duel between Hawk and Kent, where Hawke will use those magical portal arms to pull Kent apart like a deranged little girl with her dolls...

Muwhahahaah!!!

I kinda want to know if this is a time-limited promotion. I mean, I know the code expires in 2012 or whatever, but how long will the codes be distributed with the game?

I am all for this armor, and was really excited to get it until I found out that people who buy the ps3 version of dead space 2 get screwed over if they want the pc version of dragon age II. I mean seriously Bioware? WTF? Why would you limit it like that? Now I have to go spend extra money and buy this code off of someone who doesnt want it. Thanks for all of your great marketing. >_<!!!!

My Dead Space 2 PS3 copy didn't have any coupons or anything for a code, did the Nordic fanbase get screwed over or what?! :(

Check your registered game promotions after signing into the game with your EA account, it should be there.

No, the PS3 version does not use codes. Read this.

Has anyone here bought the digital edition of Dead Space 2? I'm curious to know if the code is included there as well but all info I've read says "inside all new copies" but doesn't mention the download version. This is for the pc version btw.

With the release of the original DA:O all the codes for the DLC were sent by email, I hope this is the issue here too.

There is no code included with the digital download versions.

That is really dumb that the PS3 version doesn't have a code. I was going to by it and give my code to my brother, and take my friends code, but now I guess that plan wont work. =x

so your going to have a code for armor in a game, to another game, of a COMPLETELY different genre and atmosphere (and before you mention dragon age and mass effect 2, they are boss RPGs by Bioware, Dead Space 2 is neither) (correct me if im wrong), therefor severely limiting who will actually use the code.

yep, great logic.

tell ya what bioware, put it up for some microsoft points and i will download it, but i will not buy a game of a genre i severely dislike for sodding armor........i however might beg those who bought the game who hate RPGs to give me theirs.

Both are big titles, both are under EA. To them, that is enough.

Sad thing is, I bought DS2 for the PS3 and DA2 for the PC. Ended up asking for a code for the PC version, and luckily enough, I got one. These bonuses should be made accessible on all platforms once the game is purchased.

and yet putting a code for armor in a game series thats not only nothing in common, but of a different genre, is a horrible business move.

i swear, the people who run EA are idiots.

I dunno... I thought Alistair (my party tank) looked pretty fetching in the BD armour. And the ME2 BD armour looked awesome, and I probably would have worn it the entire time if I could have taken the helmet off.

Is Ser Isaac's armour available in ALL brand new copies of Dead Space 2? It's not just a pre-order promotion is it?

And alot of people are saying it's rogue armour, but there's evidently a two hander wielding pic there... Since I've heard there's no cross class weapon equipping, I assume that means warriors can equip rogue armour?

It's unlikely the PS3/PC/Xbox codes will be made totally cross console, there will forever be victims caught in the middle of Microsoft and Sony's penis measuring contest.
