Edit: Just follow this guide I posted in response to somebody's question on the Xbox 360 Mass Effect 2 forums if you want to see how it works. Figure I'd save the PS3 owner's scroll fingers and some eye strain by just moving the post to somewhere a little more relevant.

Demon you should post this in the 360 section, this is PS.
There is a guy in the xbox section looking for answers about PC-->360 saves.
btw I hope this works, I know a lot of people are interested in this but I thought it was impossible to solve.

Yeah, I just figured that I would show people it's not ENTIRELY impossible, because we can do it for the 360. I'm trying to figure out the way the PS3 saves to see if corrupted saves can be salvaged.

The format of the PS3 save is completely different than the PC/360 version. For starters, all the save games are stored in 1 file compared to 1 file / save on the others. Plus looking at the file names stored in the 1 save I did offload here, while it's relatively easy to guess what the auto save and chapter restart are, there are 2 other parameter files and a 3rd save as well. This also doesn't include anything relevant that might be stored in locked file.
Now, it may be entirely possible to decode and figure all that out. But it doesn't look to be as straightforward as the PC -> 360 conversion if it is.

Wouldn't it just be possible for them to patch the xb360 and pc versions of me1 to add something similar to the character appearance codes, but that had previous play through info as well?

Stick with the PC you can Mod Legion and other characters earlier into play than you usually can. Totally wished i had a PC so i could Mod Legion at the beginning of the game lol.

There is isn't even the faintest chance that Bioware will provide a solution to import the ME1 PC save to PS3.
I'm hoping that with some hackery some fan manages to do this, maybe by analyzing the file that the ME prologue comic for PS3 spits out, and figuring out how to enable more flags that correspond to decisions that weren't available in the comic.

Also,
Why would you want to do that, that's story breaking... if you want gameplay there are much better shooters out there (gameplay wise) that have lesser stories. Meh to each his own.DarthSliver wrote...
