Also, for once, if something isn't liked, can we not blame EA, and instead say "hey, BioWare is a Big Boy Company and they can own up to their own mistakes/sell-outs/things I don't like".

Well, I think this is all a bit stupid but ultimately harmless. But it is EA thats dumping poor old Isaac Clark into just about every single one of their IP's and BioWare is just another division of EA, just like Visceral Games:

Are you OCD? Must get every item in the game and now you feel like Bioware is forcing you to buy DS2? Do you understand that's actually a disorder, and Bioware are under no obligation to indulge you?

Were you even going to get Dead Space 2 in the first place? No? Then there won't be any Isaac armor in the game to ruin your immersion, and this promo won't affect you in any way. Grow up, get over it, and ignore.

Couldn't they have used a different character to mass cross-promote?

The blood dragon armor looked out of place in ME2. But this...this is just screaming, 'hey! Ima cool game and this other one is cool too, and we can be cool together!! YAY!!!.......now pay up'.

Really, Bioware, use some of those vast reserves of creativity you have.

Clearly they want to force this idea that Isaac is "iconic." Rather than simply rely on him being a strong character that will leave an impression in the minds of gamers.

This kinda reminds me of the promo hats&misc in TF2...
Yeah uh pass...

You say it like a bad thing?

I look forward to this. Cross-game references/content is always fun!

Am I Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Why yes, I plague people across the goal.

Buy Dead Space 2!

I was getting Dead Space 2 anyway so this is a double win for me. First win, Dead Space (don't judge it till you play it folks) was a great game, and the sequel is the perfect way to past time tile DA2 drop. Win two, of course is the armour bonus.

it is obviously a coincidence that DS2 is also an EA franchise? Would Bioware have done that if they did not belong to EA now?

/shrugs Made different tie-ins for a different company. At least this way, it's all in the EA family.

I don't like this, I said that, but it's not extreme enough for me to cry "EA, how dare you!". It just doesn't seem the type of thing they string up BioWare devs and beat them to get them to obey.

Oh come on, I don't understand why so much people overreact like this. It's a cameo item, it's a reward for those who buy DS2 and DA2. Get a grip !

How are we suppose to make a cross-over cameo with DS2 and DA2 without breaking immersion? It's just for fun !

I'm more concerned about balance issues. How do they set the level of challenge when some people havbe this stuff and some people don't. Each individual item may or may not be a big deal, but they add up into quite a different power level for the party.

Dead space one was a pretty cool game though.

Edit: There are now 4 threads about this and one in the news forum.

wow people...you'd think that someone at BioWare personally pissed on your copy of the game. If you don't like the armor...don't buy Dead Space 2 in order to get it. If it REALLY bugs you that much, then don't buy Dragon Age 2. I fail to see how including something that you can simply NOT DOWNLOAD is that much of an issue.

I hate MGS...you know what I did when I found out you could use a Raiden skin in Brotherhood? I kept playing as EZIO. It made utterly no difference to me...surely you all can have the same reaction to a set of armor? Especially considering the first game had direct references to Superman.

I don't really care. I actually thought the armor looked cool all by itself anyways. Depending on when SWTOR comes out I may get it. But man can people complain over the littlest things.... Ah well not much else to do anyways... Here's to hoping that the next update is a character reveal! Because that would be really fun to tear apart.

I don't know, I think it's good that Isaac got a break to skateboard, golf, engage in mercenary activities, be a sim, and kill Satan. It will really help with his insomnia.

Ahhh, the teens will love it, good marketing strategy, like sticking the candy stand next to the shop checkout.
