An entire game, though, is just asking too much. I don't fault EA or Bioware for throwing this fun little extra in, it just makes me a bit sad in the pants that I can't participate because I'm too chicken to play Dead Space.

I bought a crap ton of Dr. Pepper when Mass Effect 2 came out just so I could get enough codes to purchase all the neat in-game items. Mind you, I hate Dr. Pepper, but it was a $6 investment at most.

Play the entire Silent Hill series.. It will desensitize to the point that you can look at anything and not be scared..
Or just watch this vid.. www.youtube.com/watch

Haha, my favorite thing to do is strap my male friends to my sofa, give them beer, and force them to play horror games for me. I've seen all but #3 in the Silent Hill series and I love them...I just can't play them myself. I got a few hours into SH:Homecoming on my own, but that was about it...Eclipse_9990 wrote...

I would love to play Dead Space 2 - I really am rather obsessed with collectibles and I want that armor - but my experience with the DS2 demo proves that I am...not ready.

Then don't imput the code from Dead Space 2 if you don't want the armor. Pretty simpleslimgrin wrote...

Goddammit, I thought we weren't doing "Buy ridiculous amounts of crap you don't want/need to get bonus content!" this time around.
Frak!
Well, that too. But I mean the whole mixing IP's bit. It's plain silly. If you want to offer a special armor to people who buy Dead Space 2 as well, make the armor consistent with the look and lore of DA.
They really are making some cheesy decisions when it comes to dlc and bonus content for their games.
Oh, and I wanna dress my FemHawke up as Chun Li, cuz I just LOOOVE Street Fighter......
You would think people would be happy about EA giving them a gift for getting both games. But of course, this being the internet, people find something to whine about
You know what?
It doesn't matter how much you defend a company.
Doesn't matter how much you love them, or are loyal to them, or have patience for the things you don't like.
Doesn't matter how much faith you put in them, and how hard you try to get other people to see why you have so much faith, and convince them they should have, too.
You express frustration or irritation at one damn thing and god forbid, you insane hater, you. I mean, all you do is complain.
I reserve my right to b1tch about something when 99% of my time here is spent defending BioWare and their decisions.

But really, this is pretty silly. I can normally ignore cross game advertising but this is more than a little exessive

Still brings a sad tear to my eye.
edit : also to be put in, not too many people would be conned into buying DS 2 if they weren't going to get it already. A glowy helmet, seriously? Plus there may or may not be that toggle for players to disable helmets while still getting the goodness of one.

Also, I think it looks fine in th DA world, still armor-y with details that make a nod to the cool armor in another game. Thanks Bioware. (crappy part: it's for rogues- my least favorite class. I'm a mage man. I was an Arcane Warrior mage man, but alas...)
It is strange how much we get for buying the game. I wonder how successful this tactic to deaden used game purchase. Is that the goal? If it gets more people to buy or take a look at the game I'm even happier because it means more DA.

That's my point. This trailer is aimed at people that were going to get DS2 and either didn't know about DA2 or only had some mild interest in it. It isn't showing gameplay because the two games have absolutely nothing in common except for the publisher and a silly armor (yes, it looks silly in DS, too).Phoenixblight wrote...
