Why don't devs answer topics and participate here like in the Dragon Age forums?

And for all you people saying this forum is too hostile...check the DA forums....people outright argue with the developers. AND, there is plenty of discontent about streamlining the game, etc. Seems to be a common theme these days. But anyways, it's not just here. To be honest, this forum is madly tamed in comparison to the DA one...it's a zoo over there.

Because Dragon Age 2 is the next game that Bioware is releaseing. Because of that they are going to pay more attenton to the DA forums in general.

the DA forums had a lot of dev posts since DA origins announcement and still going strong today...
Maybe the ME devs just don't like posting here ...for one reason or another

I can definitely confirm that statement.. I remember quite well that they were pretty frequent posters for a couple months prior to launch (perhaps not as much as the DA2 team, but they certainly were around).

Sooo... you guys want devs here participating in meaningless discussions about thermal clips? Bioware is producing DA2 and comunity feedback is important I think. Our time will come.

Oh yeah I love that theme song that plays during the Cemitery duel. You know... I thought of Blondie and Angel Eyes when Shepard and the Purgatory Warder gave that menacing look at each other. Poor Tuco tho...
Its funny how I did remembered the name of the grave (Arch Stanton) and the name of the cemitery (Sad Hill) but not the villain's name. Great movie... makes me want to watch it again.
EDIT: OT sorry lol... couldn't resist.

She also sometimes makes one-shot posts in topics about, say, the Firepower Pack or weapon design in general. And she's recently stated that she spends wayyyyy more time reading than posting. That said, I vote we blame anime and WoW for taking up too much of her time.Mr.Kusy wrote...

So is it safe to say we'll be getting plenty of dev participation nearing ME3 release?

you can say what you like. i'm not promising anything. Developers are free to participate if they like, and free to stay away if they like. They do this on their own time, so if they have too much work, or prefer to do other things, that's their prerogative. No one can force devs to come in here and chat with y'all.shinobi602 wrote...

And based on some of the confrontational and abusive attitudes i've seen in this community from a very vocal and agitated few, I don't blame developers for preferring to stay away.

Wrong, its because of people like you.bjdbwea wrote...
a) Because they already have your money for ME 2.Because they probably don't like to read all the complaints about ME 2.
c) Because they know that they would lose most arguments about the flaws of ME 2.
d) Their contracts might prevent them from discussing certain topics anyway.
Look at what happened witjh Jesse Houston. People followed his posts on twitter, not even on BSN, then complained when his announcement was PS3 related, then insulted him afterwards.
If everybody here wasn't so confrontail and childish, devs might visit. We only have ourselves to blame.

Yup, this is true. I remember perfectly well. They only disappeared once ME2 hit. Or maybe not "disappeared", but toned down their participation.Hathur wrote...
