I'm very new here, but relativley, based on my experience on the other forums i've been on and such, the dev presence in this forum alone (the only one i've visited) is absolutely huge. And from what i gather the dev presence in the DA forum is even bigger.
On the issue of the consumers expressing their anger, i do think it's a bit of a cop-out to say that we're too confrontational.
Of course, you're always going to have the 6-year old who is raging that his ridiculous needs were not satisfied, and the troll who enjoys....trolling, but on the whole (Again, i may be completely and utterly wrong, as i said, i'm very new here) the community here seems fairly mature and able to express their views fairly.
Also, at the end of the day, few people side with the 6-year old or the troll, so it's not as if the dev in question would be hopelessly outnumbered by morons.
However, as i said, the dev presence here seems massive. I don't think you appreciate how lucky you are, the very fact that a dev (Uhmmm, someone "woo"?) has actually posted in this thread says a lot, even if it was as an individual, and not as a dev, per se. That doesn't make a lot of sense.... xD
Sorry, i'm pretty bad at long-ass posts (Yeah, this is long-ass for me), but hopefully you all see my point :S
Edit: To sum up, you're all lucky in this regard already. Stfu and sit down. The devs shouldn't make excuses for not maintaining an even bigger presence.
Omg, im tired, i havent made any sense. Bye
Why don't devs answer topics and participate here like in the Dragon Age forums?

Why Bioware need to explain certain decissions THEY have made, for community?Chignon wrote...
Noone is trying to get BioWare to "admit they did something wrong". Not in the least. What most people want is BioWare to interact with the community, explain and elaborate certain statements and decision they have made in the past and answer question that have been asked repeatedly.
That is exactly what is wrong here. They should not need to explain anything what is in past. They did it be because it was in they opinion best way to do at the time.
What the communication should be is what they are thinking doing in the future or could do. Not what has been done in past, unless it's used as referense as future changes.

I think people would like them to participate in the day-to-day banter more. Not necessarily ME3 related stuff.
But i know what you're saying.

Mass Effect is a trilogy. Past decisions and changes will always concern the future of ME3 and up coming DLCs. Any questions that concern decisions in Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2, as well as the DLCs for both games, are therefore relevant.
They certainly don't need to. We are simply asking for it. It could have avoided what is happening in the forums now. Also, keep in mind that David Gaider, among other devs, has answered to many questions and concerns of devoted fans and customers in the Dragon Age forums.

It's just the thing is...people don't seem to grasp that this Dev team is different. They will most likely respond when something is relevant, like regarding one of their games...the one in development...so I mean, yeah I get what your saying...it's just, people need to understand what goes on here...
don't just make demands and such when you can't comprehend how things go down.

We want more interaction with the community in terms of, for example:
BIOWARE SAYS: "what can we do to improve that thing you guys don´t like"
Nothing more really, i don´t want to know about spoilers or story facts, i want to know about playability aspects and talk about how to improve them, mini games for example.. don´t tell mining is in ME3 or i´ll explode in fireballs of fury

Well...then forum wise, you guys are simply "infants". That ship sailed a looooong time ago. The Devs DID ask what we wanted...they paid attention to our Suggestion threads....and all of it while 3 was in development.
If you think they are going to add anything drastic now, you are mistaken. Now it's just little/surface things that get put in, nothing "game changing" so to speak.

Past is relevan only when asking what they gonna do next. Not as demanding explanation as why they did something, because player has problem with decission what has been made. That's the problem with this community. Here is example what's wrong in asking. Why Bioware delete hole inventory system, when they could have just fixed ME1's? This kind of question aren't relevant, because it's not real question. This is where player only wants to judge Biowares doing. There is no answer what would make player happy. Because anyone who is asking this, only wants to blame Bioware as they decission making.
You see what I mean by trying to blame and actually asking question as communication?

You are missing my point entirely it seems.
And as I said before, noone is demanding anything; they are simply asking for answers to questions they have asked again and again. Of course, it is BioWare's prerogative to not answer. This, however, does not help the situation in the least.
