Any tips?

This seems almost impossible to me, as I struggled even on hardcore difficulty. Are there any consequences in ME2 for beating or leaving this alone?

No consequences. It's close to impossible. You can do it with the best rifle and best mods on all squadmates. But it's not worth it.

its a waste of time. Don't even attempt it, unless you're a perfectionist. To that I say, soldier squadmates with immunity helped a lot. biotics are hard-hitters but lack the drawn out fight.

It's certainly possible. I did it without too much hassle as an Infiltrator with Kaidan and Wrex. (Kaidan doesn't have Wrex and Shepard's Immunity ability, but the shield boost from Electronics helps a lot and he's very versatile in general.) I found the toughest ones to be the time challenges, if I recall correctly.



Mind you, as has Kusy said, I had the best armour and weapons for everyone, and we were level 60. But (forgive me for any naivete here) who wasn't upgraded to the hilt by the time Pinnacle Station was released?
