what metal taste do you have?

#1 Slipknot! then everything from FFDP to A7X, Disturbed, Devil Driver, Suicide Silence, Mudvayne, StaticX, KSE, Bury Your Dead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden...and so on. That list is just frigging long. As long as it's not some weird scandinavian power metal, I'm good.

I do love Industrial and EBM too. That's my other music love...

I'm female. I always play a female on ME. I tend to go mostly Paragon with choices but I choose renegade options sometimes because the results tend to be funny.

Romance Liara every time.

Well i'm female, I only use two Shepard though, a maleShep for Ash, and femShep for Kaidan. I was paragon in both, although I have done some playthroughs as renegade, didn't import them though. I might import one, just to see what happens with renegade Shep in ME3.

Seriously, try to create some more. This game has so much more to offer if you play it from different angles and go through all romances.

Is anyone here roleplaying? Like, creating background stories and personalities for their Shepards? Or are most people just playing for the sake of playing?

I have uh wut, 20 Sheps I think. I've created one for each romance, some are single, some cheated on the ME1-LI while others stayed faithful. But I'm not female, I'm a 40 year old, bald fat guy and I live in my mom's basement where I sit in front of 10 big screens with my own power supplies in case my conspiracy theories are correct, which I know they are. yah...

ohh so you're to the more "soft" end of metal =/ hmm more in the heavy end here. Anyway nice to see some females into Metal.. They're a bit rare in Denmark =/

Yup, LOVE Mass Effect <3 I've always played as a Male Shepard and he is a Paragon all the way :innocent:. I don't particulary like making Renegade choices because I don't want anything bad to happen, haha.  My Shepard only has one favourite girl in the Galaxy and that Miranda. Miranda all the way. She is totally awesome.

I also love Garrus so I think after my Insanity playthrough I'll create a fem shep and romance with Garrus because he is just the sweetest guy  Oh, and my Male Shepard is called Massimo :D

yeah, I suppose Suicide Silence are pretty soft. They are about the only Metalcore band I like. I don't dig screamo stuff in general and I'm obsessed with lyrics that mean something.

And I'm definitely a ...uh ... softie....totally. mhm.

I have enjoyed creating different shepards for the game and to be ready for ME3. I even created a Male Shep in one, just to romance Tali in two. Hoping to eventually have a full paragon/renegade shep, along with a "what I think is the best choice for the galaxy" for ME3.

I know how impractical longer hair would be in this game and setting, but I sure wish there were more options for that <.<.

I wish the dudeSheps had some better hair options. Other than bald or buzzcut the hairstyles for them look pretty much douchy...

I am a female and I play Mass Effect 1 and 2. In fact, it is my all-time favorite game series. I used to play female Shepards until a certain faction of the fandom royally turned me off of her, so now I exclusively play male Shepards.

However, here's some info for you: I have never found it enjoyable to play as a renegade female Shepard. Never. Renegade male Shepard is fine; in fact, he's my absolute favorite. But renegade female? I just couldn't get into it at all. I forced myself to finish one playthrough but it was more work than anything else.

I do think it's interesting how fandom has sort of forced the terms 'paragade' and 'renegon' into the game somewhat. Whenever I tell people I prefer to play as a renegade, they assume I'm playing my Shepard as this racist, pro-human, squadmate-kicking jerkass when in actuality he's nothing like that.

As for romances, I already have my canon femSheps (all hooked up and loyal to Kaidan) all ready for ME3 so I've set them aside until Holiday 2011.

But... but... scandinavian power metal is the best! *Swedish metal lover who likes native bands* xD

This is one interesting thread. So many females, they dominate the thread.

As a swede, I am not sure how to classify my gender anymore. Julian Assagne called my home nation the "Saudi Arabia of feminism" or something along those lines. I think they forbade genders or something. (bad joke...I know...sorry)

Whats with the Dragon Age chicks? Are they all Morriganian? :o

I'm female, love ME1 & 2, always play female have completed 1&2 with adept, vanguard (2), infiltrator, sentinel, - currently on ME2 with my first soldier.

All my characters are more paragon than renegade, my soldier is the most renegade I've played but she's pretty much 50 50 in the paragon/renegate meter - I can never bring myself to support cerberus so renegade choices limited to those that don't go that way (except 1 big choice once).

5/6 romanced Kaiden, 2/6 moved on with Thane.

Can't really blame them they might get harassed endlessly.

I hope this thread keeps going I find it interesting. Also what is wrong with the woman on the DA forums?

yeah because women ALWAYS know what they want.... xD

*facepalm* Epic fail at finding the point.

There's a reason people stereotype us as being all about "feelings rather than sex." Romance matters to the average woman. Personally, I care about both equally, but to go the other way and assume that most women just want hot booty is pretty stupid.

Even stupider when we're talking about Garrus, where a relationship like that really shouldn't start with sleaze lines. I will be very surprised if anyone wanted to romance Garrus for his body alone. Jacob I understand, but not Garrus. That was ridiculous.

You have decent taste in metal, though, I'll give you that.

I was in London for the Warden's Quest event. Ask Chris Priestly, Fernando Melo, exorzist, Astorax, MistressNine9,  etc. or possibly any of the forum users who were watching online if I'm a woman.

Also, I can confirm that moarinternets, Tamyn, n2nw, Cat Lance, and DLAN_Immortality are female, as I met them there. They too have racks and are in fact quite pretty. I would estimate that all of us are under 40 and under 200 lbs., so there goes that myth as well.

Ha. There was this forum I went to for like...what? 3-4 years? I eventually posted my IRL pic on a relevant thread and this guy starts telling me that the pic is fake. He didn't believe me until I posted a pic of myself, holding a note with a text he told me to write.

Funniest thing is that later, this "guy" turned out to be a female forum member, using a false account to pose as a male.

Makes you wonder.

Well, I seen the other side of the coin too but its nothing odd.

Women has in t he 20th century taken a step into many rooms where males before been dominant, voting, politics, top positions, sports and now you ladies are getting into the market of gaming and similar too. It is just a profit for us all and a natural development when women become more independent from old bigotry ways.

I would if I been female, never post my picture although.
