The floor is all messed up as you can clearly see, and i'm a complete idiot so if anyone could tell me what causes this [setting or otherwise] It would be a real help.

For the record, running with a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260.
Would anyone know what this would even be called? If i had a clue what to search id have a fix already. but  "Everything looks dull beyond the invisible wall" is to lengthy a search to find anything about it.

No idea.

You havent registered the game on the forum, so we cant tell if you have a legit copy or a torrented one that came complete with a crapload of bugs. Yes, people have joined these forums to find out what is wrong with their illegal copy.

You also havent posted any details as specified in the "Read First" thread.

I have a similar problem in Garrus' loyalty mission when transitioning to the sniping Sidonis sequence... the previous frame in the factory remains spliced in with the sequence until Shep and Garrus split up to deal with Sidonis. I also get weird motion blur effects during this.

The problem hasn't affected my gameplay yet, but it's just weird as hell.

What do you want to do about it?  There is an established problem reporting procedure.  Do you just want to complain, or were you expecting more without any information?

Incidentally, I haven't followed the opening post's image link, since the author hasn't followed our procedure.  Sorry, it just seemed like it might be a wild goose chase on my part.

I was expecting it to be somthing simple and obvious so much so that someone else goes "Oh i had that problem, i just turned this up and it was all fine lol"

As much as i feel like hearing "update your drivers, Reinstall the game" 30 times over from guys who have never experianced the problem themselves,

The fact that it's a rare case explains enough to know where to start.

@Locutus: Thats a bug in everyones game. Seems they forgot to include the skyboxes in that particular animation sequence.

@RynCage: As I mentioned, you have not given us any information at all to work with. If you want us to help you, then you have to help us. If you're not willing to do that, then feel free to contact EA support, as they are the ones who provide official tech support for ME2. This is a user to user support forum.

The OP has stated that it's an Nvidia card, so drivers is the best guess I could give based off that one piece of information. But then, only knowing the graphics card, that's all there is to work with. Input and output are related. ;)

We have seen Nvidia driver updates causing glitches in the ME games, though I can't recall if it's been a problem for the 200 series before.

This is a known bug caused by missing game assets. Unlikely to get fixed, and there's nothing going wrong on your machine's end - it's just how the game engine reacts to the missing assets.

Actually, I have this exact same issue with the floor there myself. Doesn't break the game or anything, just looks odd. So I've never been too concerned about it. If there ends up being a cause to it and a way to fix it though, that'd be great.

My specs:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 2.66GHz
Memory: 2GB System RAM
Hard Drive: 250GB
Video Card: GeForce 9600 GT
Sound Card: Sound Blaster Audigy SE
Mouse: Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
Operating System: Windows XP Home SP3
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E SLI
PSU: 650 Watts

I'm currently using nVidia's 260.99 drivers, but this problem has existed with every driver set I've used.

Alright, good to know my issue isn't a problem on my end. Still, I'm interested to see how the OP's and Animositisomina's problem might be solved.

@Animo: The 260.99 drivers are known to have problems with older cards. the 258.96 drivers (which I currently use) run the game smoothely, and without any glitches.

As I said though, this problem exists (for me, at least) with every driver set since the 197.* series, all the way up until the most recent. That includes 258.96, unfortunately. I've not yet tried 266.58, though--but I doubt it would be any different.

I have the exact same problem on my 9600 GT and so did my brother on his HD 5770. It doesn't happen in every Illusive Man sequence. I thought it was just a glitch.
