checking team status on personal terminal in cic, game froze. after a few seconds i could toggle between team members again. after exiting terminal the entire screen was black except for the options to talk to ed-i, kelly, view galaxy map, etc. 

viewing galaxy map, everything was black except names of planets, option to enter orbit, etc. ed-i would still talk to me, but screen remained black. i pressed start and everything in there worked normally: save/load, codex, journal, etc. 

saved my game, exited to main menu. main menu was all black except for white dots (kinda looked like stars, actually) where the main menu background stuff normally is. all main menu options were visibile, however. loaded save and had the same problems in-game.

exited out of game completely via the controller, then started it back up. loaded the save i had just made (while the screen was black) and everything seems to be back to normal. so no harm done, i guess. just hope it doesn't happen during combat.
