OK, so I am well on my way to finishing this damage spreadsheet I mentioned. It's a beast, but it's going to be nice. I saw another one on the vault but mine is going to be more comprehensive (and hopefully almost as easy to use, though probably not since I can't script in excel and I am using just formulas).

Anyhow, I need to know, does Manyshot stack with Flurry of Blows or Rapidshot? Thank you!

Flurry and Rapid Shot can't be active at the same time, nor other combat modes (Power Attack for example).

Not sure about Manyshot, I haven't used it a lot.

Right, I am aware of that. Thank you though. My question is about Manyshot and whether or not it stacks with any of the other "modes" since it isn't really a "mode" itself.

If by "stack" you mean can you use manyshot while having rapid shot on, yes.

Sorry, I misread it. What manageri said is true, but I guess the OP means if Manyshot + Rapid Shot = 3 attacks.

Manyshot just modifies x number of shots per round, rapid shot adding more attacks doesn't conflict with that in any way. With BAB 6 and rapid shot you'd be at 3 attacks per round, and the first of those attacks would fire two arrows, so 4 arrows per round if you wanna use that number.

OK, so, at BAB 6 things should look like this:

Normal:
+6 / +1
Rapidshot:
+4 / +4 / -1
Flurry of Blows:
+4 / +4 / -1
Manyshot: ( ) indicates 2 arrows
(+2) / +1
Manyshot w/ Rapidshot
(+0) / +4 / -1
Manyshot w/ Flurry:
(+0) / +4 / -1

Correct?

How about at BAB 26? Like this? (assume Improved Rapidshot and Monk lvl 9: no penalties)

Normal:
+26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1
Rapidshot:
+26 / +26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1
Flurry of Blows:
+26 / +26 / +26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1
Manyshot: ( ) indicates 2 arrows
(+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1
Manyshot w/ Rapidshot
(+18) / (+18) / (+13) / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1
Manyshot w/ Flurry:
(+18) / (+18) / (+18) / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1

Is that right? I had thought maybe that the additional attacks provided by Flurry or Rapidshot wouldn't be figured in by Manyshot and that maybe BAB 26 might look like this:

Manyshot w/ Rapidshot
+26 / (+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1
Manyshot w/ Flurry:
+26 / +26 / (+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1

Which is right?

Rapid shot (and I'm pretty sure flurry too) adds the attack to the end of the round so a BAB 11 round with imp RS would be like:

(+5) / (+0) / +1 / +11

Excellent. So, like this for BAB 26:

Normal:
+26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1
Rapidshot:
+26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1 / +26
Flurry of Blows:
+26 / +21 / +16 / +11 / +6 / +1 / +26 / +26
Manyshot: ( ) indicates 2 arrows
(+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1
Manyshot w/ Rapidshot
(+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1 / +26
Manyshot w/ Flurry:
(+18) / (+13) / (+8) / +11 / +6 / +1 / +26 / +26

Correct?

Looks right to me, you might wanna do a quick test with flurry though to make sure it behaves like RS.

I think Manyshot is only for bows, though. So it couldn't be combined with Flurry.

Flurry of Blows only works with specific monk weapons (Kama, Quarterstaff, Shuriken or unarmed), you can't use a bow with it. However, I'm not 100% sure how the ranged feats (Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot, etc.) work with thrown weapons.

Melee is very powerful with the right build/concept. I have a RDD / FB build that does +41 damage on normal hits with improved power attack. At 30th level, the build would attack 6 times a round with that base damage and with a falchion I average a crit 30% of the time which does well over 100 each.

As for the SoZ enchantments, it works in both directions also. Yes, you could dump 6d6 elemental damages on bows/arrows (6x 1d6), and you can also enchant all of your armor with 6 types of resistance of 10 points each.

If there was any singular type of character that 'pwned' the rest, it would probably be a monk.

Why a monk?

Consider a straight 30th level monk (not really trying to power build):

AC: +6 (Monk bonus) + Wis bonus + Dex bonus + 3 (Tumble 30) not counting any magic AC bonus from other possible sources (Deflection, Dodge, Armor, Natural).

240 hp base + bonus

Damage: 7 Attacks (with Greater Flurry) @ 3d10 damage each with the penetration of adamantite (thats a possible 21-210 damage per round without any other bonus)

Against spellcasters: Spell Resistance 40 (Possible 54 SR if taking all Improved SR in epic), even if the SR is broken, the monk receives +17 for all base saving throws [+3 save versus spells if pumping Spellcraft skill] and against any spell that has a Reflex Save the monk also has Improved Evasion.

In addition: Deflect Arrows, Immunity to Poison and Disease and Mind-affecting magic, DR 10/magic

...but can he make Julian fries?

I'm sure monk rocks in PvP. But I'm not sure I can see it as doing as well as a power build against the computer. I never did try the Kaze no Kama though...

PvM too! I don't play multi-online so I never build any character for PvP. The character I'm running throught the OC (and eventually into MotB) is a finesse built Rogue 2 / Swashbuckler 3 / Monk (x) with Circle Kick and Great Cleave. It's suited as the party leader (diplomacy), damage dealer (lots of attacks + lots of damage), rogue (with Able Learner). But, no, can't make Julienne fries or enchant items (but can cast spells off of scrolls and wands!).

I know with adding the other 5 levels (Rogue 2 / Swashbuckler 3) that I'll lose 5 points of SR, a little unarmed damage (3d8 instead of 3d10) and one point of AC (from monk lvl 30), but I'm also gaining free Weapon Finesse, great skills (because of Rogue lvl 1 & AL feat), and Insightful Strike (adding Int bonus to unarmed strikes).

Nah, Monks aren't very good in either PvP or PvE. Their AB and AC are sub-par compared with other melee classes.

They are mostly used as a dip to use the wis bonus to AC and a few more levels to boost speed (particularly on rogue-types using hit&run tactics). Dedicated castes have little trouble overcoming the SR of normal Monks... and maximum SR builds are weak otherwise. Can be easily defeated with spells that ignore SR.
