I have nothing against the art style at all. And I never said there's some sort of required polygon or pixel count. Don't put words in my mouth.

I just want the game to look good. Up to par with current Bioware standards. Up to par with ME2. There are times when this looks even worse than Origins so Bioware clearly isn't delivering.

The textures simply look terrible half the time. It's as simple as that.

And that's completely fine, but something looking good is a matter of opinion. The saying, "You can't please all of the people all of the time" suddenly comes to mind.

Tell me these look good.

Then there's stuff like this which actually looks good.

Some bits look pretty inconsistent, if you ask me.

Are you ****ing kidding me you used every single DA item model over again? lazy much? yet you completely went out of your way to trash the look of the darkspawn and artstyle overall...

Why would Bioware show the PC version on anything but the best settings?

This is exactly why people are concerned about the quality of the graphics, assuming Bioware would exhibit the images and video footage on the best possible settings.

somethings really off in that one. As if perspective was non existent :( Emissaries of different sizes? And why the middle/background are bigger than the one in front? The same with some of the hurlocks.
The lighting is wierd too - partys' shadow goes against the light from the spell!
Textures are blurred/jiggy in both screens. Are these old? I hope so!

BTW the hurlock scene looks like photoshop lavers document and not a screenshot from the engine...

We'll obviously get new models and seeing some old ones certainly makes sense lore-wise. It's not like the people who craft those are expected to make a unique carving or weld for each staff they make.

Okay, a humility lesson. For those of you who were born this year and take graphics for granted, here's 20 years worth of games praised for their graphics :

An excellent argument if I may say so. As someone who started playing games in the late 80's (ah, the nice times of playing Monkey Island & Loom together with my father... Image IPB), I simply can't understand why people are so picky about graphics these days. Eyecandy is a nice bonus, but as a matter of fact, the stuff we get these days are tons better than the stuff we'd get in the older days and it only gets better as we go, so...

Look at the shots where the game looks lackluster. Like these.

I guess people will only see what they want to see.
