It blurs and shrinks the image, that way the quality of textures the aren't seen in full detail.

And the screenshots look fine.
I never enjoyed rubble textures and I never will, but I can deal with them.

I didn't mean the textures. The HD screen gives it incredible lighting from that angle while ingame it looks much like the crap we've seen already

Here are my thoughts.

• Like the screenshots, much better than Origins imo.
• Not too keen on the Hurlock armor but that's always been something I disliked, it's much better than the Darkspawn armor in Origins where it looked like they had blacksmiths and stuff going on. These ones look like they gathered pieces of armor and slapped it on, not really understanding it completely.
• Like how they sort of still look human / elvish / qunari (haven't seen a genlock yet, no comment on those) instead of mud monsters from the Loch.
• Blood looks silly but Origins blood was silly as well, at least it'll be more pleasing to look at I guess.
• The battle in the Deep Roads looks rather fitting, sort of how I expected the Darkspawn to number in the Deep Roads considering it's their base of operations. Though I'm going to assume that's an exaggerated Varric sequence, all those enemies look like they'd butcher Hawke and company.
• The flames from Bethany's spell looks amazing. Kudos to whoever did that.
• Textures look low res (on the Deep Roads screenshot) in comparison to the other screenshots we've seen, I'm assuming it's an older build or the PC was running slowly. I haven't read the preview these come from, so they might explain why.
• I'd comment on the height of the Emessaries but we've already dealt with taller elves, this seems like a joke (Note: I know it isn't intentional).

Really? You've played? Good to know, I didn't know ingame lighting improved dramatically if you took a camera and took a picture of it.

The ingame screenshot was from months ago, how do you know the above screenshot is from the same build? Hell, a picture of a television (HD or not) should make it look worse - not better.

What thats why I rarely bother at this point, you guys just repete the same tired excuses as to why the textures in the game are horrible, or why a particular feature was a terrible design decision thats obvious without even having to play the game. It, prolly much like my complaining I'm sure, gets old.

No, but I've noticed a certain trend of people that approve Bioware's every whim and the other half is the haters. It's rare to find someone that lets logic come first

"it's an old build" for one. Regardless, the environments look even worse than the did in DA:O, and they weren't all that great in DA:O to begin with.

The screenshots were released at the same time the demo was released. The photo is from the demo.
