Proper gear on squad obviously, but Bioware should have already decided what to do so lets wait i guess.

Exactly. the way that jack is "dressed" (she is almost nude.) in the missions is ridiculous. as much power as you have...you are no God. a bullet will kill you.

and....it is very clear at least in the novel I read wich it was Ascencion that a straight bullet will kill you, because your shields are able to protect you only from bullet scrapes. (not directly)

I would like to at the very least customize the colors of my squad mates suits. Even if I don't get to choose their outfits.

I would prefer them to wear bikinis. "Hey Garrus. Hammock up bro!"

And not letting people dictate what clothing your squadmates wear is a good idea imo. Makes the Normandy feel less like you're playing House.

Why not take away the ability to change their outfit's colour and their weapon loadout?
That's no different.
Also might as well take away the ability to level up squadmates as well.

Outfit colors are only for looks. Chances are, if the same went for squadmates, it'd be the same way as well.

Choosing weapon loadouts and leveling up your squad are RPG elements through and through.

When going planet side on missions, in hazardous environments, and on the battlefield yes they should wear armor.

I honestly have no idea what your point is.
Choosing companions armor is bad because it's like 'playing house'.
Yet changing the colour of a companion's outfit is perfectly fine as it's only for looks?
....

Choosing weapon loadouts and leveling up your squad are RPG elements through and through.

Your point being?
Why is it fine to choose Grunt's gun but not his armour?

Since we're losing sight of my original statement, I'll start over. Choosing armor for squadmates seems useless to me. Guns and powers do not, since they actually affect gameplay.

Is that better?

Whatever BW does I am fine with. Make several skins and let the users choose. If it is on an inferno world then everyone should be suited appropriately.

Even from the codex the important part seems to be the generation of the kinetic field which everyone had in ME2. it is a rediculous notion that armor would afford any protection against rocket launchers and mass effect propelled slugs anyway.

Everyone also misses the obvious wearing armor means lots of training of which Jack never had. So maybe you can't take her. Miranda obviously is highly trained and chooses to wear her suit for her reasons. She seems pretty effective to me.

BTW does wearing the armor in ME2 actaully make the character last longer? Nope. it's just semantics.

IN ME1 the armor meant something and had actual protective qualities so it mattered. In ME2 not so much. In ME3 BW will decide and you have the same choice play it or don't. I will choose to play it no matter how they go.

I think they should have armor. I also think it should be an option as well. If you want to wear it you can and if you don't want to wear it you don't have to. That way everyone is happy. Maybe give each person 3 or 4 different armor outfits.

Armor, sealable armor in combat, yes.  Unique aremors are fine.  As long as it's armor, not spandex.

Not necessarilly equipped armor, it could just be a skin (though I'd rather it be actual armor like Shepard's)

Squadmates should wear protective clothing when they're going into a situation where they are likely to be shot at/exposed to dangerous chemicals/are unlikely to be able to breathe.

Lightly armored outfits wouldn't hurt. But for God's sake, give them something better than those sloppy and ugly breathers. They do nothing against vacuum.

This question is wrong. The right question is:

Should squadmates wear clothes in ME3?

Who else here supports that "Mass Effect 2: High Heels in Space" be follewed by "Mass Effect 3: The Bikini Contest"?

Shepard could sport some customizable N7 underwear.

Also can someone remind me what's with the policy on product placement at EA?

I think NPC armor should be like Shepard's. Modular pieces that customize stats and looks but is still the default "N7 Onyx" armor. In Miranda's, Jacob's, ect case it would be the Cerberus jumpsuit with customizable modular pieces, that way it still has that character's "default" appearance but also they're not going into combat with their only protection from mass accelerated bullets is spandex.

Running around in hostile environments (or exposing skin in quarian ships) wearing boobie-straps does seem disturbing.
