and....it is very clear at least in the novel I read wich it was Ascencion that a straight bullet will kill you, because your shields are able to protect you only from bullet scrapes. (not directly)

Outfit colors are only for looks. Chances are, if the same went for squadmates, it'd be the same way as well.GodWood wrote...
Why not take away the ability to change their outfit's colour and their weapon loadout?Cru Hunter wrote...
And not letting people dictate what clothing your squadmates wear is a good idea imo. Makes the Normandy feel less like you're playing House.
That's no different.
Also might as well take away the ability to level up squadmates as well.
Choosing weapon loadouts and leveling up your squad are RPG elements through and through.

I honestly have no idea what your point is.Cru Hunter wrote...

Choosing companions armor is bad because it's like 'playing house'.
Yet changing the colour of a companion's outfit is perfectly fine as it's only for looks?
....
Your point being?Choosing weapon loadouts and leveling up your squad are RPG elements through and through.
Why is it fine to choose Grunt's gun but not his armour?

Since we're losing sight of my original statement, I'll start over. Choosing armor for squadmates seems useless to me. Guns and powers do not, since they actually affect gameplay.GodWood wrote...

Is that better?

Even from the codex the important part seems to be the generation of the kinetic field which everyone had in ME2. it is a rediculous notion that armor would afford any protection against rocket launchers and mass effect propelled slugs anyway.
Everyone also misses the obvious wearing armor means lots of training of which Jack never had. So maybe you can't take her. Miranda obviously is highly trained and chooses to wear her suit for her reasons. She seems pretty effective to me.
BTW does wearing the armor in ME2 actaully make the character last longer? Nope. it's just semantics.
IN ME1 the armor meant something and had actual protective qualities so it mattered. In ME2 not so much. In ME3 BW will decide and you have the same choice play it or don't. I will choose to play it no matter how they go.

^^ it's not about disliking the sexual outfits. we like SEXY GIRLS but not in the BATTLEFIELD
Yeah but its the same thing all over again mostly with the same people using the same arguments. If you check some of the most recent posts you'll see.

Not necessarilly equipped armor, it could just be a skin (though I'd rather it be actual armor like Shepard's)
Squadmates should wear protective clothing when they're going into a situation where they are likely to be shot at/exposed to dangerous chemicals/are unlikely to be able to breathe.

Lightly armored outfits wouldn't hurt. But for God's sake, give them something better than those sloppy and ugly breathers. They do nothing against vacuum.

Should squadmates wear clothes in ME3?
Who else here supports that "Mass Effect 2: High Heels in Space" be follewed by "Mass Effect 3: The Bikini Contest"?
Shepard could sport some customizable N7 underwear.
Also can someone remind me what's with the policy on product placement at EA?

This question is wrong. The right question is:

Please tell me you are talking about FemShep!
