Mirandas body design & outfit was not based on "oh shes a nice girl i would like to get to know her"
It was just plain rediculious in my opinion!
(+ the entire newly introduced female cast)
Thoughts?

There are you all happy?Image IPB

Do you know what sexism is, first off?

I agree. But even as a strait woman, I enjoyed looking at her body. I put her in that black jump suit ASAP.

Try and take it as satire on the state of female objectification on video games. It makes it so much better.

I dont know, it was just like the most pathetic way for the creaters to act like this was a very mature & adult game........wich it wasnt , ironicly because of things like Mirandas outfit.

Yes it was very sexist!
Its not like Miranda had control over what she wore & looked like!

Do you?

I guess you don't.

Clothes =/= sexism. ****ing everything is not sexism. I'm sick of this ignorant anally PC bull****.

It's not sexist, it's tedious and immature. End of story.

other then the heels, I personally had no issue with it. it was merely form fitting...like most outfits in the game, male or female. even knee high boots make sense..have you even tried to brace yourselves on your knees (like when you shoot from cover) without some sort of knee protection? its not very comfortable.

the heels though were pure fanservice. hope they will give her more sensible shoes in ME3.

Prove it. It's not like you saw someone come and put it on her. Also if you saw the romance scene, she was able to take it off, when she wanted to. It's not like it was ''locked'' onto her. :?

Maybe it's because I'm a dude, but don't get it.

I mean, sure it was indeed an unnecessary design choice but a periphery one at best. And beyond that, it's a video game fer' Chris'sakes, they're for fun and generally (when I'm playing any game) and I find myself offended, I'll just continue playing because it is, after all, an imaginary world.

Again, you haven't given any explanation as to how that's "sexist."

Mirandas character was the perfect example of sexism!
Her body design what they put her in!
Are you serious?!

You really don't have any idea what sexism is do you?

Well thats okay. Anyway, her outfit was very... stereotypical, unnecessary, unwarranted, misplaced. But sexist? Thats like saying that men can't wear T shirts and shorts. Women can wear tight clothing and low cut tops, but it doesn't make it sexist. Sexism means discrimination against someone of a different (or the same) sex (gender), or the belief that one sex is superior to the other. Miranda wearing "girlish revealing clothing" isn't sexist lol.

Even if it is or isn't sexist, that's not my issue with it.
I hate it simply because of how ridiculous it looks (both in and out of combat)

Ok did you even listen to Miranda talk about herself. The whole character is based around being created as perfect that was why her father created her. She say's it herself, her looks, intelligence, and biotic's were all engineered to give her an advantage and make her perfect.

I had no problems with her outfit for walking around in non combat situations but it was just plain silly for combat. Would prefer the squaddies to have combat armor on like Garrus and Grunt wore.

For example!

In Mass Effect 1 you had to slowly & realisicly widdle away Ashleys barrier....

In Mass Effect 2 you & Miranda have nothig in commen, she is dressed in a very

skimpy outfit & is very quick to be suduced by your character.

ok, are you seriously trying to say that Miranda, the genetically engineered perfect woman having a great feminine body was....sexist? did I understand it correctly? furthermore, her outfit is not any tighter then basically everyone else working for Cerberus with the exception of pant cargo pockets, Jacob's outfit is just as skintight and btw? going into combat in nice, skintight (so it doesn't snag on anything), moves with your body clothes is damn comfortable. she has no cleavage showing and she's wearing a bra, so she has support. Samara's outfit is more sexixst then Miranda's if you're going to nitpick.

it would be nice if you could put her (and a few other characters) into a more appropriate space suit when you go into environments with no atmosphere, but hey, she's not the only one. gimme sensible helmets and shoes and I'll personally be happy.

edited to add.  it took about the same amount of time to get through Miranda's defences as it did through Ashleys.  She's just not as constrained by regulations and the need to fix her family reputation i nthe military as Ashley was.  Liara on the otherhand, would jump your bones the moment she met you, given an opportunity, but people are not complaining about HER :/
