We just stated a whole bunch of other explanations other than a divine event. Oghrens explanation doesn't make sense so it must be dismissed.

You can't dismiss the possibility just because you dislike it. It's the alternative brought up in the actual quest; there's nothing in canon that dismisses it, especially considering how relatively little we really know about lyrium. Given that the writers decided to include Oghren's observation in the quest, it's apparent that it's a possibility to be considered.

Given that no other possibilities are provided in the context of the story, I disagree. Oghren's reference of the lyrium wall is the only alternative explanation provided by the writers.

I don't know where you got that from. His explaination actually makes the most sense.

Lyrium has a powerful connection to the Fade. You find veins of the stuff there, and Justice even states that spirits are drawn to the way it "sings". Given these connections, I don't see why lyrium wouldn't affect the gauntlet and urn. The guardian is a spirit of a dead follower of Andraste who has not passed on to the other side by choice. Spirits can do this.

I agree it could have an effect on the urn and the guantlet. I just didn't agree that it had an effect on the guardian. The guardian being a spirit makes alot more sense to me.

Of course we could all be wrong and there really is a Maker enpowering the ashes. We don't know really.Posted Image
