I think they already have, unless you mean the carry limit, which I hope they draw the line well before there, I don't want to lose stuff right off the batBTCentral wrote...
More free stuff? Well, i'm not complaining.
Though I'm starting to wonder if BioWare plan on giving us a full inventory of items before we even start the game.

I've managed to collect all the DLC/Promotions for Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age: Origins and keep my sanity. Dragon Age II, I think I'll loose it.
So far the promotions for Dragon Age Origins was way more insane than this:

My character is going to start out with a huge 17 item inventory additions before even playing the game?
Not to mention that there are both rumors of a special gamestop amulet of ashes and also of the return of the Dr. Pepper Code Items since the Dr. Pepper promotion was continued for this year here in America.
In short, I expect that by the time Dragon Age 2 comes out, my Hawke is going to be gifted from the maker 20+ items!!! This is kind of rediculous.

Why? It's ALWAYS good to have variety. And if it becomes too much problem could easily be remedied by having many of the items purchaseable from special vendors.

Hawke is fleeing Lothering from the darkspawn, isn't it a little odd if he/she is running while carrying 20+ items of epic quality?

I know that this is a good thing, I just feel like Bioware/EA is spoiling us. Also as we have no idea how we are going to get these items in game I am worried...I remember the casteless dwarf or city elf issue with the last game (woot for mace that is worth 300 sovereigns!).

Many of these items are no doubt not of "epic quality" if the last promotions for DAO is anything to go by, half of the items I would never equip ever because they were bad compared to loot you could find/buy yourself.

It seems that most if not all of my items are items I obtained at the very beginning of the game. In particular the robes a player gets from Morrigan DLC and the Dace belt are very very good in Origins...the robe has one of the highest armor rating of any mage gear. Also while some characters never need the items, these things do increase your stats quite high before a player can afford the best gear in game. While you can always sell them (Reaper's Cudgel ftw!) they still give a player a huge advantage at the begining of the game. (my casteless dwarf works in his position because he cannot afford a house, yet he has an item worth 300 sovereigns?)

Sure but keep in mind those items were rewards for completing specific achivements in downloadable content that came far after the original game came out. Think of them as "super items unlocks" like most games on consoles/pc used to have in the past.

Alright, I know most people hate the Blood Dragon armor but it actually wasn't that bad, if the developers had not nerfed it and some of the stats actually worked. As were the tomes that gave you extra stats, very helpful for beginning game. Some of the other items I do not have so I cannot comment on them (got this game after I bought ME2, primarily for ME2 Blood Dragon Armor).
I just sincerely hope that the items are neither too powerful nor useless...I want to use them far later in the game then just the first 5 levels but not throughout the entire game. Though looking at the fadeshear sword I might not have an issue using that thing all playthrough long.

Having a list of unique items at your finger tips can sometimes drain the experience when your only really supposed to be wearing low level gear.

No, it is a facebook app and you need to have an account to access it...Also if you want Items to transfer the facebook account has to have the same email account that your bioware account has.Haristo wrote...

If you don't have facebook already just make a fake account, but it's important the email is same as your bioware account, otherwise items wont transfer.

If you don't want the advantage , just destroy (or potentially store it in a storage chest if there is one) the items.
Also, the items may have a level restriction like some of the DLC items for Origins had. It would also be nice if some of the items were just unlocked in a store where you can buy it at a decent price such as the Dragon armor in Origins.
My main concern is that I like to be able to collect all of them, but the store exclusive DLC gets me everytime :/
Also, anyone who has the Legends beta willing to be friends on Facebook due to all the NPC's being on a 2 hour wait after you use them for a battle...
Just send a friend request on this if so, and a way to potentially look you up on Facebook.
Edit: Reworded a sentence...
