Just remembered one of the WTF moments that was so awesome. ME1 convo with Fist. You end it and then Wrex shoots him in the head and you are like WTF WREX!
Wrex turns and said: WHAT? I told you when we find him I'll kill him.

Yeah I was extremely shocked when that happened too! So of course, I went back to experiment with that whole scene haha. Gotta love Wrex!

another WTF moment was when on virmire one of the salarins captured was saying let me out let me out! then slams agianst the door and sheps face is like wtf?

YES! That was definately another one that I had to experiment with...then you let them out on a different playthrough and they attack! AH! Crazy stuff!

My personal favorite moment in the game is that 0.4 sec timer to use paragon option on Liara after the defeat of Shadowbroker and the Okey, Okey, Okey convo that comes from it. Those same three words made entire game worth every single dime. Just epic feeling knowing you are back together with your ME1 LI.

ME1: Its got to be the confrontation with Benezia, the whole sequence still sends chills down my spine espicially with Liara in the party. And the decision whether or not to kill the Rachni Queen, amazing! Even on my renegade playthroughs I have to think twice about killing her! I think the whole Benezia/Rachni confrontations are my favourite parts of both ME1 and ME2.

Also the conversation with Vigil was excellent.

ME2: I love listening to the advert on Illium about the first Hanar Spectre, makes me laugh every time.

I love all of the Suicide mission but espicially "The Long Walk" the cutscene at the end when Jack/Samarra sends all the Husks flying is epic!

I just love thinking back on the time I played Mass 1...all of that atmosphere and...well, music, action, story...it was so far ahead of its time back in 2007. I mean, then you have the amazing characters of Mass Effect 2...just a perfect blend of games.

Let's hope 3 is the best of both!

This is not the point of this thread so go away unless you have something to say that actually fits with the purpose of this thread.

ME:
-Introduction.
-Citadel
-Spectre Induction.
-Virmire
-Sexin Liara.
-Ilos and Vigil.
-Battle of the Citadel.

ME2:
-Normandy Destruction and Lazarus.
-Omega.
-Meeting Archangel.
-Illium
-Meeting Thane
-Tuchanka
-Derelict Reaper.
-Suicide Mission.
-LotSB and Sexin Liara again.

And many more in both ME and ME2 that I can't think off top of my head.

Look we know that you think most of Bioware guys should be executed from the other 5 threads you made complaining that ME2 sucks(Not saying you made this thread since you didn't). Garrus doesn't spend all his time whining about C-sec. Tali doesn't always talk about the migrant fleet's culture and history. Thane and Legions conversations are really interesting to listen to. Mordin is absolutely hilarious. What else do you F***ing want? Also, this is not nearly as bad as any of the star wars prequels, even suggesting it is absolutely absurd. So stop quoting Red Letter Media!

Tali is a well developed character.

Garrus is an indecisive ****got. You can't respect anyone who is indecisive and a self renegade, they always bite the dust, ALWAYS.

Mordin 'was' hilarious until he disrespected Kirrahe, obviously you never played ME1 or you would of been just as offended as I am.  Mordin even apologizes for it, but it's too late, he deserves death.

Red letter what?

That's the beauty of Mass Effect. everyone will have a different view of the characters. Certainly, that is your opinion jswatta...and frankly, this means that Bioware is indeed,a company that has mastered their craft. If they can make so many people feel so many different things from a character...then they fulfilled their goals...probably far surpassed them in the first place. Ah, I just love Mass Effect.Image IPB

Somewhere on this thread a dev guy says how he played throught the game from start to finish at xmas. Just thinking I hope that EA don't rush Bioware in releasing this game in the same way they did for Dragon Age II, Mass Effect deserves better than that. I really want an incredibly polished game, it's something that this franchise deserves and I hope they deliver on what we've been told so far.

On the topic though: Happiest moments of ME1 was probably ones I created, one of the missions had the enemy occupying a base on the side of a cliff. I took my mako from the top of the cliff and landed right on top of all their troops taking them out after that was incredibly fun. Oh also when Shep and Ash got it on ;).

Happiest moments in ME2 were when I reunited Miranda and her sister, when I helped that Quarian on the Citadel who was the subject of prejudice because she was a quarian, oh yeh and some of the conversations on Ilium like the Turian trying to chat up the Quarian or the bachelor party conversation.

Hey I don't know if someone else got it first on this thread, but heres (one of) my favourite one(s) anyway:

From ME1

Turian Councilor : There a saying among you humans, "Even a broken clock is right twice a day"!
Cmdr Shepard : Heres another saying: "GO TO HELL"

Anybody got that??

There are so many great moments in Mass Effect...

ME:
The intro (gives me goosebumps every time)
Landing on the Citadel for the first time

The sacrifice on Virmire
Witnessing the ruins of a forgotten race on Ilos
Vigil meeting
The Citadel/Alliance vs Geth/Sovereign space battle
Saving the Destiny Ascension
Saren's ultimate sacrifice
Sovereigns demise (the music really made the scene)
Shepard heroically climbing on top of Sovereign's remains
The conversation that occurs if Shepard saved the Council
The ending credits

ME2:
The intro
Meeting the Illusive Man
The Normandy's rebirth
Walking into Afterlife for the first time
Reunion with Garrus/Wrex
Crossing the bridge on Thane's recruitment mission
Jacob's loyalty mission
Tali's loyalty mission
The derelict reaper (although its execution could have been better)
Legion
The crew abduction
Playing as someone besides Shepard
The suicide mission

I still remember the first time I played Mass Effect 1. I just loved the intro and the exposition to the plot. It made me feel like I was playing through my favorite sci-fi movie and the interactions with other characters just made it even better. It is a great repayable game, but I really did miss not knowing the plot and just going through the game the first time. That's probably the main thing that made Mass Effect 1 really good for me.

Anyone else wish they could go back in time and play Mass Effect 1 for the first time again??

One good memory from Mass Effect 1 is when me, Tali and Garrus went to take the fight to Saren on Ilos, leading us to the Citadel and going for a major one-on-one for a race against time to stop the Citadel Mass Relay from opening to dark space. We ran, we fought and we suffered but in the end, we won. All our fighting had been worth the victory of our first battle against the galaxy's greatest ancient threat.

Mass Effect 2 holds its own memories too. Recruiting old and new team mates for a battle against the Collectors, reuniting with Wrex and Liara again, helping my closest allies Garrus and Tali with their personal wounds and even having a relationship with my Quarian engineer. But the greatest memory was when we fought the Collectors, destroyed their base and got out alive.

These memories are ones I will hold dear when we fight the Reapers together, finding the path to victory and ending this galactic poison that dooms us all once and for all.

ME1

Wrex: Shepard
Shepard: Wrex

ME2

Tali's character development

Also in both games, just how touching many of the scenes were. I don't think any other videogame has ever conveyed emotion as realistically as the Mass Effect games.

The whole damn game. Both of them.

Mass Effect was the first Bioware game I ever played, and remains perhaps the best (overshadowed possibly by ME2 and KOTOR 1 and 2).
