It is dependant on retailer participation even if you purchased the Signature Edition.

Really? I got Dead Space 2 for 360 and I got the armor for PC and 360ZaroktheImmortal wrote...
One problem I have is that it's not across all consoles. I bought Dead Space 2 for playstation 3. But I want to get Dragon Age 2 for PC. So now I have to buy another copy of the same bloody game just to get it for which machine I want the extra content on. What a rip off.

Now you have games with shorter developement time, that are torn appart for the sake of ripping customers off as much as possible. There is no more fun in playing the game when you always feel like you don't get the full experience and you have to research DLC offers, DLC curency bullcrap and go through the obstacle course of finally having everything set up. Even then it will be very obvious what content of the game is poorly implemented DLC with horrible balance issues that mess up the whole game (overpowered items etc.).
The magic of games is gone.

So far everything is free, I don't see any problem in that. You'd only have to pay extra for the signature edition stuff if you missed out on pre-ordering (which it's only $10 to pre-order and you can cancel at anytime), and the Issac armor by buying Dead Space (or just renting it on PS3).Vena_86 wrote...
I miss the times where you would just buy the game the developers have worked on for years and install it. Then some time later you would get a decent add-on with more gameplay.

depending on where you pre-order they will charge you or not for the pre-order. they usually take a downpayment but that goes towards the total price of the game. so its the same price if you pre-order or go to the store and buy it the day it comes out

February 22, 2011 marks the launch of the Dragon Age II Demo and a Call to Arms for all BioWare fans. We are actively recruiting an army of Champions, and if we get over 1 million demo downloads and logins on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 combined before March 1st, we will unlock two in-game items for the entire community to use in Dragon Age II. Demo download progress will be tracked on this page, so check back often!
To get your download counted, you will need to log into your EA account while playing the demo.
The items that will be unlocked are:
The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall
The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall - Written by a Fereldan refugee as she fled the Blight, this book of poems describes her dreams of a new start in Kirkwall, the city across the sea. Readers will surely be enriched by her insights. (Gives money when read.)
Lothering's Lament
Lothering's Lament - Written by a Fereldan refugee as she fled the Blight, this book of poems contains touching reminiscences of all she had to leave behind. Readers will surely benefit from her experience. (Gives XP boost when read.)

ANother reason why I think this will fail because not only is the demo locked from silver users until March 1st when this promotion ends. But are people going to create an account after or before they try a demo? I seriously doubt it.

This might actually be more of a recruiting drive for people to make EA accounts then just for people to play Dragon Age, which is actually kind of sad.Phoenixblight wrote...
