Well, I started a new game plus, imported Shepard from the completed file, and I never got my previously attained armor or any of my weapons that weren't available at the beginning of the first new game. I just got to the Normandy, and all that I've received are the resources and the carried over experience. Any thoughts? Am I just impatient, or is this a glitch. And if it is the latter, anything that I can do?

Those items don't carry over. I believe the old FAQ says they should, right? The FAQ is wrong.
You didn't do anything wrong and it's not a glitch. Bioware is just spreading misinformation on the ME2 site.

You don't keep weapons or armor - only your level stays the same, and I think you get a resource/money boost

That's all you're supposed to receive. You start over from the beginning!

Even the one mission complete screen says that I should receive at least the heavy weapons. And I know people that've beaten the game and kept their armor and weapons.

Could just be a glitch. Have you tried importing that same save game file again?
#7

Multiple times. Always the same result.

Now that I'm thinking about it, you're right. I think. It's been a while since I've done a NG+. But I think that you do. :/ Try making a new save for the profile you've finished the suicide mission on, and then reimport using that particular save. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks. I'll try that, and if that doesn't work, oh well. It's not like I use most of the armor and the weapons are free. Maybe I'll have to beat the game again for it to work.

Hope it works out for you. I seem to remember the armor staying, but can't exactly remember for sure. But some of the items are plot dependent, so thats why I think it resets. But I could be wrong. If I am, I hope making a new save file fixes the problem. It should if that's the problem.

Well, you are too. You keep all weapons and armor, including heavy weapons. In fact, you should be wearing the same armor you wore when you beat the game as soon as you open the locker on Lazarus Station (you have to get on the Normandy to get all the weapons back for Shep). What the FAQ is actually wrong about: you don't keep upgrades and credits.

I do start out with my previous armor, but it's the Terminus Armor, and it was available to me at the beginning of the game the first time I played through.

I have the same problem. I got my DLC weapons and armor. But all ordinary armor I purchased before, all weapons, including the heavy weapons are gone. And I restarted with insanity. This really doesn't make anything easier. Even the ending report says all heavy weapons will be avaiable. A glitch or false information? Maybe because of the Insanity difficulty i can't have my weapons?

It's only been a week since the release of the game on this platform, so whether this is a widespread problem or just a few isolated incidents, we don't know because not that many people have beaten it, most likely. If it turns out that this is a major problem across the whole platform, then they'll have to patch it. If anyone wants to notify them preemptively, be my guest. I'm just going to wait until I see more similar complaints.

Same problem here. I got my DLC armor and weapons but no others. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the XBOX360 version carries over all previous weapons and armor, however for some reason the PS3 version does not. THEY NEED TO FIX THIS!

I tried restarting on all different difficulties. It makes no difference. The weapons didn't carry over even though everything says they should.

apparently this issue is present in all PS3 copies based on what I've seen in other posts. Maybe if we all flood Bioware with complaints to fix this they'll patch it sooner.

I have an issue with the new game plus too. I beat the game and started a new game plus on hardcore. I didn't keep my weapon specialization so I lost my sentinels ability to use assault rifles and I kept none of my researched heavy weapons. I believe the New Game plus did say things that were suppose to be present when you start a new game plus, but they never appeared.

I've been told that a new patch is on the works. Appearently it is all about bug and crash fixes. Maybe they will fix this one too but I doubt it. Hope somebody from bioware reads this topic. Insanity is chewing me up and spitting me out at the moment. (Spent 3+ hours in Horizon)

From all the posts in the tech forum it seems this applies to all PS3 games. It's a game wide glitch. I used that as an excuse to start a totally new Shep, female adept, last night instead. Doing that the stuff that was supposed to carry over did: I kept all my credits, was able to pick an extra power, and had 50,000 of each resource. I think that's all that is supposed to carry over in that instance but I'm not sure.

Anyone out there not having this problem? It seems system-wide. I assume Bioware is working on a patch for it, but I'm wondering how long it will take...

Well, then it should be fixed if all the subdivisions of the forums are being flooded with these complaints.

Only on Playstation 3.

Right. Well, they just released it so for the first few months they focus on fixing bugs, then they focus entirely on their next project, and then the cycle repeats.
