Does anyone else think that the world map in DA2 looks ALOT like a map of central/ eastern canada? Mainly Quebec and New Brunswick....

That's an amazing find... It looks too close to be a coincidence. And Bioware did base a lot of DA's world on real life, making a lot of their inspirations pretty obvious... So why not the shape of the continent itself?

We also had the whole 'Looks like Europe flipped' thingy.

Appparently Thedas looks like a lot of things.

Nah. Bioware is in Edmonton. us Westerner's don't like that part of Canada. no way they intentionally based The Free Marches off of Quebec and/or the Maritimes.

I remember when people turned Europe upside down to make it looks like Thedas. I mean come on?

Sure does. Also, I keep seeing Jesus's face in my toast, and in the wood grain texture of doors.

You should call someone about that. You might be able to rake in a tastey profit. Though you will have streams of pilgrims coming to your house, so its probably not a good trade-off.

Well, I'm from Vancouver... but when i saw the map, that was the first thing i noticed. If (in real life) New bruswick was just a bit bigger, and that small hump on the top of Quebec was deper/ bigger they would look exactly alike. Posted Image

That proove there's no Canada like French Canada : It's the best Canada in the Land :)

Nah seriously. it maybe look like Quebec, but the main inspirisation of Thedas is obviously Europe. Ferelden equal Britain, Orlais equal France, Amaranthine equal Scotia.

Well you see what you want to see I guess - but if we're really grasping for straws I guess I could agree.

It looks like the landmass pointing out right, and that the ocean surrounds it on that side.

That's about it.

Apparrently it looks like land and sea which meet at coastlines. They totally ripped that off the real world.
