Since associating my mod with a campaign I have had a lot of grief (My other thread is just part of that) I have had my first ever crash to desktop in game and many convos that simply do not fire the PC node. These are convos I have used many times before and have worked fine.

They are not failing on a script or a missing an integer etc. they simply do not pass from the NPC to the PC node in seemingly random places. The convo simply stops

Two options occur one is a little off the wall but I will test it:

1. Can I back out of the camp directory go back to haks or would I do more damage in the process?

2. Could it be the player file that is the problem one test character is giving me jip, could a corrupted bic file be an issue. I can test this but I don't believe it I am just looking for solutions (read grasping wildly for solutions).

If I can fix things the way Lugaid described in my other thread then I will but I don't actually understand what I need to do exactly.

Any ideas on what might be causing this and how I might go about a repair?

Had exactly the same problems when I unfortunately tried this about a year ago. Never did fix it.

I've always worked in campaigns and I've never had any problem with conversations. I have frequently copied module conversations over to campaign conversations and haven't had any problems. In general the best way to do it is to open the module in the toolset and then, outside of the toolset. find the DLG file and copy it from the temporary module folder into the campaign folder. Then exit the toolset.

Other ways of copying conversations can lead to links breaking and other similar problems. Especially if you try to copy sections of conversations and not the entire thing.

I just don't buy that the root cause of your problems is running in campaign mode.

Logically I agree. It is my inderstanding that the campaign folder is simply a common resource file for a number of modules. Since I am using no campaign scripts or convos in this case as the conversion of the mod came late in the process I really cannot see why this might be the problem. It is perhaps coincidence that the module strated to get problems after I created the campaign.

The bugs can be fixed. The issue now is more about finding them.

My only advice would be to convert your conversations to campaign conversations. *Make a backup first!* This might fix it. I had some issues with the SOZ Holiday Project, and I recall making everything sit in the campaign folder worked.
